My Ft Worth days. The Red Slipper and Peppermill Lounge. Johnny Was a lot of fun. And an asshole.
Tom MacDonald is pretty cool.
Now THIS should give rise to a national holiday!
I didn’t know that about Walter Brennan singing a hit song.
I have to remember, Walter wasn’t always as old and crotchedy as he appeared on The Real McCoys.
He didn’t sing, exactly, just spoken...........
One Rap album I actually like is “The Eminem Show”.............

The Good News: Rap is DEAD
The Bad News: ZwiftZombie owns 33&1/3 of Top 40 for 3 weeks
Devil stole rap because his fiddle of gold got stolen
Winning!
There are generally two kinds of popular music fans;
One kind loves “Islands In The Stream” by Dolly and Ken, while the other kind consider it tacky, formulaic and not at all Country. I’ve always enjoyed that performance, including the building brass section in the 3rd verse.
How about you?
Good (it’s not music)
My nephew was on The Voice.
He did a Sinatra tune and made it all the way to the second to last round.
He’s still doing Sinatra and the like and will be graduating college with a business degree with a music minor.
Smart kid.

See? If my buddy just listened to me...
“As one early rapper once said, “The reason we rap is because we can’t sing!”..................”
Those who can, sing. Those who can’t. rap.
For spine chilling, still have to say I’ll go with Gregorian Chant.
Of course I don't have Mike's audition, but here he is:
(addendum) You can kinda see why he chose the vein-popping-out power ballad...
I just listened to it. Never heard it before.
I’ve heard worse. I’ve heard better. It sounds like a Yacht Rock tune.
It’s better than the 3-4 current Billboard 100 I heard.
FWIW Dolly has more business and music sense than almost everyone in the biz.
Definitely. There’s an Enya song very similar in sound to Gregorian chant that’s notorious for being used as a backdrop to a lot of raps actually.
This an instrumental sample:
