A new film about singer Bruce Springsteen called ‘Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere’ is not delivering the box office haul producers expected, at home or abroad.
This is not entirely surprising. Like many celebrities, Springsteen has tainted his brand by turning himself into a toxic political figure.
“Springsteen” launched below projections at the international box office with $7 million, bringing its global tally to a soft $16.1 million. The biopic cost $55 million, and since theater owners keep roughly half of the ticket sales, the film needs to keep rocking at the box office to justify its price tag.
And now, the core of Bruce Springsteen supporters, even those who agree with him politically, do not recognize the obnoxious old guy ranting and raving for ten minutes about the Bad Orange Man.
Bruce Springsteen burned the good will of some of his most loyal fans and the movie is suffering as a result.
Will Hollywood ever learn this very simple lesson?

Yes, no, maybe, I don’t know
Can you repeat the question?
You’re not the boss of me now
You’re not the boss of me now
You’re not the boss of me now
And you’re not so big
They Might Be Giants
 I didn’t know that. What a jerk.
Look again at it, notice the position of his right arm/hand.
sounds very constipated ...
Leading up to the release of the movie, the Murdoch’s chosen chief editor of the “news” pages of the Wall Street Journal (not the oped pages) ran a number of glowing articles about Springsteen. Made me sick.
To me Springsteen has ALWAYS been a figure of public relations much greater than his little talent.
The movie was unfortunately timed to be released when the target audience was at the “no kangz” rally and bussed to the early bird special at Denny’s

Watching season 3 of “Dark Winds,” the 1970s era cop show set on the Navajo Rez. Zach McClarnon is excellent as Joe Leaphorn.
A little bit of blame the white man, but not much.
Bru lost the plot a long time ago.
