A new film about singer Bruce Springsteen called ‘Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere’ is not delivering the box office haul producers expected, at home or abroad.
This is not entirely surprising. Like many celebrities, Springsteen has tainted his brand by turning himself into a toxic political figure.
“Springsteen” launched below projections at the international box office with $7 million, bringing its global tally to a soft $16.1 million. The biopic cost $55 million, and since theater owners keep roughly half of the ticket sales, the film needs to keep rocking at the box office to justify its price tag.
And now, the core of Bruce Springsteen supporters, even those who agree with him politically, do not recognize the obnoxious old guy ranting and raving for ten minutes about the Bad Orange Man.
Bruce Springsteen burned the good will of some of his most loyal fans and the movie is suffering as a result.
Will Hollywood ever learn this very simple lesson?

Probably a pedo. Ok, I’ll call that. I’ll put it down on my Bingo card.
A movie about a creep who is still alive and rolling in the big bucks? I thought liberal jackasses didn’t like “da rich”.
aww....
I never did like this guy or his music. You couldn’t pay me to sit and watch a movie about him.
I know others who think the same about him.
Used to be a fan. Still think “Born to Run” is a very good album, he peaked early. Now that Bruce has proven himself to be an insufferable douche, I have no interest in anything involving him.
Because nowadays, when the subject of Springsteen comes up, to real Americans who are still the majority in this country:

Old, worthless, desiccated Leftists who pine for their days of rage back in the Sixties care. And that is it.
That is why the movie bombed. Nobody cares about his stupid, fake, pseudo-hardscrabble life story.
Ol Bruce was a Vietnam War draft dodger!
I call it “yankee rock”....I’ll stick with my south of the Mason Dixon line Skynyrd, ZZ Top, Outlaws and Tom Petty thanks.
He does represent liberal hypocrisy well though......a billionaire wailing and whining about the plight of the blue collar working man.....which is exactly who spent their hard earned money to make him rich.
2025 net worth....$1.1bn
Haven't been to a movie in 6 years...watch it at home, which is better...
Apparently, this Trump hating leftist is not nearly as popular as the elites in Hollywood thought.
“watch it at home, which is better”
Amen to that.....last time at a theater there was literally 5 people in there an a jackass just HAD TO sit 6 seats from me and scroll through his phone the whole damned time......after that I was out.
Nothing like watching a movie at YOUR convenience.
He’s pissing on the American flag, on the “Born In The USA” album cover.
I wonder what he thinks his legacy will be. For sure it never was about making his country better.
🎶🎶 Baby Bruce Was Born to Bomb! 🎶🎶
.38 Special. Marshall Tucker band too.
Don’t need to hear that cantor’s bellowing.

I was a big fan for a LONG time, have a vast collection of his music and have seen him on multiple continents. I began souring around 2004 with the whole John Kerry thing, but it really escalated with Trump. As introspective as Springsteen can be lyrically, he’s a moron with his political perspective. Bruce and I have been on an extended break. His music was a big part of my life that I can’t shake, but can’t go back either.
