I don't trust doctors at all. I am over 50 years old and I have only trusted THREE doctors in my entire life- I don't trust them.

I have four kids in the healthcare industry, they do not trust doctors either. I have stories...

Since they are obviously PHYSICIANS, what are their stories and how are they not a part of your so called problems with them?

I cannot give you a single good reason.

You might be interested in checking these rogue doctors out. They are very not mainstream and warn us about the very things we suspect the mainstream medical community about.

He is big on eating well, exercising, and not taking medications with nasty side effects that you don’t need.

Yes, I know it’s you tube, but I find many of the things they have to say pretty interesting, so take it for what it’s worth.

Don't trust any of them these days.

Who would you trust more, your doctors or your local dealership that claims you need to replace your transmission?

I find it funny that folks complain about their insurance copayments for the exact complaints listed above, but have no problem paying out hundreds of dollars for a complete brake job on their vehicles.......LOL!

Car OK, Doctors not!

The data is available to patients these days, so collect all that you can and do your own research. You must be your own advocate because no one else will be. Be informed, and get second opinions if possible.

I recently got put on high BP medication and was on lisinopril.

WORST medicine I ever took in my life. The cough was HORRIBLE and it did nothing for my bp.

“Since they are obviously PHYSICIANS”

They are not doctors. They do not make the authoritative decisions. They do not even want that final decision liability. Two are Surgical Techs and two are Registered Nurses. And you know good and well I cannot share the stories from them.

Some are great, many are not. It’s like anuyhing else, it’s a gamble. Covis and the treatments many were pushing, are why you have lost confidence & trust in doctors. This is actually a good thing because you will now pay more attention to what they are telling youm and you will start researching for the truth where you believe you can find it, instead of taking the first take provided to you.

Are Financial Payments from the Pharmaceutical Industry Associated with Physician Prescribing? A Systematic Review

The takeaway...

The association between industry payments and physician prescribing was consistent across all studies that have evaluated this association. Findings regarding a temporal association and dose-response suggest a causal relationship.

I did 35 years fire/emt/ paramedic. Some of the things I saw with patients we took to the hospital soured me forever.

One notable was a guy that called one night with what turned out to be an aneurysm. Cardiac surgeon and thoracic surgeon get in a “he’s your patient” “no, he’s your patient” screaming match in earshot of the patient.

Yes, I am aware that survival of tearing aneurysm is slim to none but wouldn’t you at least try to save another human being?

They are not doctors. They do not make the authoritative decisions.

Then why do you cite them? From a physicians perspective, your family members have no idea the restrictions and protocols put on doctors working within a regulated medical group.......

To put it into perspective, they sound like union members complaining about management, who are simply following corporate policy......

It's not the physicians you need to complain about, it's the f'n bureaucracy that prevent them from administering commonsense medical care.

My young doc is traditional and holistic, the older doc that started the practice is traditional. I like the younger doc because she is very knowledgeable about nutrition and supplements. She did not bat an eye when DH told her he was on a carnivore diet. His bloodwork was perfect and she said she was not surprised. This is 180 different from our previous family doc.

The older doc who started the practice is conservative and he stopped recommending the Covid shot sometime in 2021. Now his practice specializes in helping people with long COVID and Covid vax detox. He’s having some good success with it. He said he has quite a few patience with heart issues following the Covid shots he is dealing with.

Anyway, we found them by talking to people we knew had not gotten the Covid shot and who they used s doctors.

My doctor told me I need to make appointments for each of my separate maladies.
I’m looking for another doc.
My doctor is not very well liked, he has a picture of House on his google reviews.
I believe he is probably good at diagnosing but his empathy skills are zilch.

I trust them for the basics, at least. If specialists, I also generally trust them.

Do your work online through HealthGrades and other platforms. If you go to a well-regarded one, why have a problem?

I obviously sanity check things before I go, when possible. I sanity check while there and after, as well.

Do note a lot of stupid stuff comes from what YOUR insurance requires of them for you. Yes, YOUR insurance makes doctors prescribe the most common medicine for a condition, rather than the best. You see, the best costs more, and your insurance carrier knows this, too.

Some years back, my wife needed a blood pressure medicine. The one the doctor prescribed was an early angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). The one I wanted for her was one that just came off patent (had a generic) and had studies showing it was better from several other benefits it provided. It was barely more expensive, looking at GoodRX.com, so I requested that for her (I was in the room). The doctor was surprised and asked why and I told her just these things. She said, “I am allowed to change it, if the patient desires, I just need to note you requested it.” She was impressed we knew and wanted better, but she had more paperwork to file with our insurance company to do that.

Don't poop on doctors that don't deserve it. They are not there to screw over you or your health.

They often do not know the more recent stuff. Why do you think I post this breaking health study stuff that I do? It is to help each of you inform you and your doctors about viable options at hand that were not standard practice before.

I am shocked at the comments on this thread. We need to be in charge of our own health and doctors do help us with that and they can be trusted, but it is a “Trust, but Verify” sort of thing. Do simple web searches with reliable websites to know what standard options can be and what can be better among them. Help your doctor help you.

I chuckle at the health changes we expect from a prescription instead of changing our diet or exercise, which would likely address true root causes. Doctors get people like that, every day. They go to a doctor for a fix. The doctor can't fix you with your diet, so you force them to prescribe or operate, instead. How many people want to hear they “need to eat right” as the true fix? No one.

Nearly every doctor my wife and I have seen have made the adjustments I have offered. Heck, I got a hospital chain to change a major practice by talking with the right people and giving them a PowerPoint from a pharmacist convention, complete with study references.

These people are generally reasonable, when you are and when you are informed.

“your family members have no idea the restrictions and protocols put on doctors working within a regulated medical group”

Oh yes they do! They WORK FOR DOCTORS and Doctors delegate to staff. They know exactly what the restrictions and protocols are. They HAVE TO, it is part of their job security to know! They have the exact same responsibilities with their own licenses. A bad Doctor can cause them to lose their license too!
