After US President Donald Trump and Congress failed to reach a funding deal by Wednesday's deadline, the government shutdown began. As a result, hundreds of thousands of federal employees face furloughs, and many offices will be closed. H-1B visas will also face a pause until the shutdown ends, says immigration attorney Nicole Gunara.
She said that H-1B visa filings will not be processed until the Congress can agree on federal funding allocations.

The Democrats shut down the government because the usually spineless jellyfish Republicans didn’t give in. I guess Trump loaned them some back bone. We voted for this. I have been saying for years you cannot reason with leftists. Their beliefs are not based in reason or facts. In reality if you press them with facts and logic hard enough they will shoot you in the neck to avoid their fantasies being challenged. Likewise you cannot bargain with them. They are all liars and as trustworthy as a junkie looking to pay for his next fix. The only way to treat with them is to utterly destroy them and repudiate everything they stand for. They, like the terminator, don’t rest. Every time their stupid laws are shown to be unconstitutional they double down with fresh unconstitutional legislation. We real Americans are fed up with their posturing, tantrums, and bullsh*t. Republicans aren’t perfect, but we need to get out and vote for them even in off years.
I second this. Boy, the Indians sure seem upset their little steal jobs from Americans program has been shut down. Hey, I’ve got an idea. Maybe India could provide opportunity for them.
