The Rapture is upon us, according to TikTokers, some of whom have latched on to a prediction that on Tuesday, Sept. 23 — today — Jesus Christ will return to Earth and take true believers to Heaven.

Flawed dogma
No
The rapture wasn't taught until approximately 1,800 years after Christ began the New Testament Church!
Today's teachers of the rapture weave numerous biblical references into their narratives, but John Darby and other early rapture advocates based their belief on two verses: 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17.
In particular, they believed the words "shall be caught up" in verse 16 conveyed the idea that Christ would snatch the saints away. Combining this with the Biblical teaching that God would protect His people in the end-time Tribulation, they projected that Christ would take the saints to heaven during that period.
So as far as I'm concerned, end of argument. You can believe what you want.
I’m rather enjoying reading this ignorance on display in full view of others and lurkers.
Not a good look for a testimony.
Christians don’t even read their Bibles anymore.
God works on his timetable not ours.
Says who?
The Holy Spirit has witnessed over the centuries and now, that the 66 books of the Bible are the Word of God.
You tread on dangerous, slippery ground by excluding any part of God’s Word, and here it’s got you off the track.
It is likely to happen on this Holy day that is part of the Torah. It happens every year, but we don’t know what year it will be in.
Another thing, the Rapture is not going to happen, we will all be here until the Sixth Trumpet... Sorry, my opinion which I can back up with Scripture. The Church MUST be ready to live through, when the Wraths come, we will be gone, if we ARE a true Christ follower.
‘Cause the man from Mars stopped eatin’ cars and eatin’ bars
And now he only eats guitars, get up!
Jesus will return. But no one including the son of God know the day or hour. Could be tomorrow or millions of years from now. If it happens during our time on Earth then we should be ready!
I think it’s happening right before the Mariners reach the World Series.
Years ago, some entrepreneur had the idea of auto delivered emails containing the last message of those who had been raptured, to their friends and families. Ingeniously, if the sender *didn’t* choose to “not send”, at some interval, it would be sent automatically.
However, at the same time, and still today, there are websites that generated fake identities: names, addresses, etc. So, some wits decided to create fake rapture people whose messages would be sent by the system to true believers.
And some of those messages contained confessions of sexual impropriety.
there are signs that indicate that it could be ‘near’ BUT, what constitutes ‘Near’ to God? 1 year? 10? 100? 1000?
The printer was, IIRC, Parisian. My memories on the Dominican are very hazy—I would guess that it was done in Italy, but the Dominicans were international enough at that time that that would in no way preclude him hailing from one of the parts of Gaul.
John Nelson Darby who invented the Rapture in the 1830s is laughing from his grave.
If you think the ungodly celebrated Charlie Kirk’s death, wait until the Rapture happens, they’ll go nuts celebrating into the tribulation.
Good post. Your left behind!!!
Actually the person who did the verses was a French guy by the name of Robert Estienne Stephanous in 1551 and the average verse contained 17.5 words. The first Bible to come out in chapter and verse was the Geneva Bible in 1560.
Probably Pacific Time.
Any how, I doubt I will be leaving. Just leave a note on the door what your dogs and cats eat. And where the good silver is.
We are not ALL going. Right away. You don’t want Fido to starve.
I went to work; and took out the garbage
It happened. If you’re still here, you’re a loser.
