Coming from the BBC, this surprised me. I though the Brits didn't shower.

Depends in what you do and how you sleep.

For me, it depends. If I’ve done a lot of grimy work, I shower right afterwards or before bed. If I’ve worked indoors without a lot of sweating, such as in the winter, I’ll shower in the morning.

“Is it better to shower in the morning or at night?”

Yes it is.

Never shower right after eating. It can play havoc with digestion.

It might be a Blue Collar vs White Collar point of view.

Blue Collar, shower after a sweaty dirty day at work.

White Collar, shower in the morning as you’ll be near people all day.

there is one question that perhaps divides us more than any other – do you shower first thing in the morning, or last thing at night?

really?

"It's probably more important to be cleaning your bedsheets than it is to be showering in the evening," says Holly Wilkinson, senior lecturer in wound healing and the microbiome at the University of Hull in the UK. "Because if you're going to bed showered but leaving those bed sheets for a month, then that is going to accumulate bacteria, dirt and dust mites."

A MONTH?!

Showering daily removes the bodies largest organ ( the skin) from doing its job. Removing skin oils removes your “ protective “ coating. Man survived thousands of years just fine with sponge baths. Much written about showering daily in chlorinated water, chlorine is a known cancer causing chemical.

There are benefits to both so I think the BBC is saying shower in the morning and at night. The enviro-scarcity crowd isn’t going to like that.

A person should shower after work, sex and exercise.

Mike McConnel, a conservative Cincinnati host on WLW, said his boss told him there are only two kinds of jobs - one, where you shower when you get home after work, and another when you shower before going to work.

The question that divides us most, is which way to hang toilet paper. I have had 3 people turn my toilet paper around. I now have 2 rolls on my wall;one each way.

“Is it better to shower in the morning or at night?”

Seems to me it depends on whether you smell worse in the AM or PM.

Showering at night or in the morning: Each has its advantages and disadvantages. I solved that by showering at both times, and also many times during the work day.
