Showering daily removes the bodies largest organ ( the skin) from doing its job. Removing skin oils removes your “ protective “ coating. Man survived thousands of years just fine with sponge baths. Much written about showering daily in chlorinated water, chlorine is a known cancer causing chemical.

Yes, I’ve been concerned about showering in Chlorinated water for several years now. There’s evidence that your body absorbs this chlorine through the skin. I don’t know the solution, other than a reverse osmosis water system, and those are expensive and wasteful.

Removing “skin oils” doesn’t prevent your skin from doing its job - keeping blood and organs inside. I’ve done fine with daily baths for...well, I’m on Medicare. Skin is fine. Organs and blood are all inside.

Man can survive with almost no bathing at all, but people sure start to stink soon. Or at least, those of us who spend a lot of time outdoors do.

Nah. Pleistocene man never bathed and had a life expectancy about 26 years.

And yet, life expectancy has increased by 11 year (16.5%) from 1950 to 2025. I'll stick with the daily showers and chlorinated water.
