some times both... depends on the day and what I’ve done to get dirty before bed. I’m not going to my sheets coated in dirt, sweat, etc... So at minimum a body wash/rinse.
Washing hair and shaving happens in the AM to get a good clean start to the day.
Most days, it’s just my morning routine.

It’s kind of a blue collar/white collar thing. White collar workers shower before going to work so they don’t stink; blue collar workers shower after work to wash off the sweat from a hard days work.

I’ve done both kinds of jobs - shower before work and shower after work.
I started work life in Local 812 International Brotherhood of Teamsters - definitely shower after work. Now I have a definitely shower before work gig.

To colleagues in morning that have to see your bed head and keep from laughing; better in morning.
A nights sleep showered...fantastic-er

Showering everyday is not necessary,negative for skin and a vanity bordering on OCD...unless one gets dirty/sweaty on a daily basis.
