What did the little idiot think they were going to seek as punishment?

Unfortunately, when Robinson is eventually executed, the Left will make a martyr out of him.
And do it without even a hint of the irony. They are devoid of self-awareness.

20 years from now they’ll be doing stories on this guy about his life in prison, his thoughts etc....

The idiot thought he was going to get away with his assassination. He thought he was going to retrieve his grandfather's rifle where he stashed it. Hoped they wouldn't find fingerprints on the rifle when they did find it.
In other words, the furry tranny loving queer is a tad bit short sighted.

I have to go back and track down the dopey Freeper who insisted that the perp’s brother had negotiated his surrender with the police on the condition that the death penalty would not be on the table.

"20 years from now they’ll be doing stories on this guy about his life in prison, his thoughts etc...." Utah currently has 4 people on death row. The shortest current time there is 29 years, with the longest currently 37 years. Most of us here will be dead ourselves before we see justice for Charlie and his family.

Considering the criminal lived in the leftist bubble, it probably
expected adulation as a hero to the movement.
Arrest and facing the death penalty likely never entered it's
peanut brain.

Ridiculous over-reporting and dramatization. He swallowed. People swallow 900-1000 times a day.

Exactly ... unlike a lot of recent pervert related murders, this pervert planned to survive the event. He’s just not as smart or as well supported as he thinks he is.

Remember the Rolling Stone magazine cover story about the Boston Marathon bomber?
Expect something similar with Charlie’s ,assassin.
To: fidelis
Tim McVey was pretty quick.
That’s what happens when the feds want it.
Well see how this plays out.

Even if true, that death penalty negotiation means nothing. Heck, cops do it (lie) all the time.
It would be a different story if a DA was involved. But even then a judge could decide to ignore any agreement.

The idiot thought he was going to get away with his assassination of a good friend of the President. Added to emphasize the idiocy of this man.
