We had shelves in our coat closets that didn’t go all the way to the end. Some last-arriving budding sociopath would always slam their lunchbox onto one end, and whoever had the one on the opposite end needed a new thermos, just like that.

Very interesting story.
I recall the BCD’s, only we called the BCG’s - birth control glasses. And I recall the glass thermos, which kept liquids cooler or hotter a lot longer than the metal ones.

I had a box of them that somehow got shoved to back of cupboards down low, and one day i cleaned out the cupboard and fohnd the box, it was aboyt 7 years old. I opened them up and everyo e of them we open znd had tu4ned to a powder and crumbs. I think maybe mice had gotten into them. It was weird that they powdered up thogh.
