A Florida woman was arrested on a battery charge after allegedly pushing a 73-year-old woman to the ground during a remembrance event in The Villages for Charlie Kirk, the outspoken conservative political activist who was shot and killed during a speaking event last week in Utah.
Members of "The Villages MAGA Club" held a vigil on Sunday for Kirk at a local medical center in Lake Sumter Landing.
According to the arrest report, Courtney Beth Anderson, 56, attended the event and was "yelling and holding up her middle finger to everyone at the event."
Anderson was asked to leave the event due to her "aggressive and rude behavior," the report said. Moments later, Anderson allegedly pushed the person who asked her to leave, causing that person to fall and hit their head, police said.
The Villages Fire Rescue Department checked the person out. That person refused to be transported to the hospital.
Several witnesses told officers that the shove was unprovoked. Anderson declined to talk with officers and invoked her right to counsel.
She was arrested and booked into jail on a felony charge of battery on a person 65 years of age or older. Police said Anderson has two prior convictions from June 2001 for misdemeanor battery.

My cousin lives in The Villages with her husband. Stayed there overnight when I was driving from Seattle ti Florida. She and I got along just great until I was about to get in the car to leave.
Just then her husband gave me a big hug. She hated me for that, never spoke to her again. The Villages apparently filled with crazy women.
How would you like to wake up looking AT that!

In one of her crimes she was found not guilty by reason of insanity. It seems to me that if they can’t incarcerate somebody because their mental illness causes them to commit crimes - especially violent crimes like hers were - then they should at least be restrained in some way in order to protect society.
Do you know if the laws provide for dangerous criminals who are mentally incompetent to be required to be restrained in some way - either by being committed to a facility or some other way?
After what happened with the Ukrainian woman this should be a no-brainer. If a mental illness is causing people to be dangerous they should not be allowed to roam free, even if they can’t be incarcerated.

What you wrote is not an exaggeration. In my community, the neighbor on my block unleashed a rage fueled tirade at me on our communities Facebook page. This was after I affirmed her statement that Yes, hatred is responsible for Charlie Kirk’s assassination. However I pointed out very simply that the suspect in custody happened to be a leftist and that I would not back down from stating this fact.
She went on an extreme rage filled rant basically accusing me and people like me to be -— add your favorite name here -. She went on line after line in over-the-top rage completely out of in proportion to the situation. I find this disturbing by itself but what’s frightening is her husband who ran his mouth after the assassination attempt in Butler on President Trump. He was sad the assassin missed.
Please take note of the crazy here - (This is fruit loops crazy.).
