Forrest Frank is a Christian artist who has found success in the popular music world, especially with his hit song "Lemonade."
This week, after the assassination of Charlie Kirk, Frank posted a video tribute to the late Christian and conservative icon and took a big hit for it.
Here was his reply:

I don't want you to follow me. I don't want you to track my music. I don't want you to come to my shows. I don't want you to do any of that if you don't get this one thing, and that is: Follow Jesus Christ. The King of all kings, the Lord of all Lords. The One who is and who is to come.
He's coming back real soon. So if you have not gotten your heart right with Him and dropped down on your knees and repented to him, today is the day. The hour is at hand.

Matthew 5:11-12
“Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you”.
This passage from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount encourages followers to rejoice when they face persecution, slander, and false accusations for their faith, promising a great reward in heaven.
About what “we” were told by the Dixie Chicks, if I recall...

It gave us signs to look for, and the signs are showing up.

Charlie’s assassination is dividing the sheep from the goats. And that is a good thing. Jesus said,
“Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.
He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it”. Matthew 10:34-39
We do not know the time nor the hour....

He’ll likely replace those in spades in the coming weeks.

Don’t much care for Forrest Frank’s music, but I will pray for him to be bold in the Lord. The youth in our church like his stuff - they went to a concert not long ago as a group trip - so he’s doing something right.
