Not the flags of our fathers

The flags of 11 sovereign indigenous tribal nations were permanently raised recently at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul, during a ceremony at the new Tribal Flag Plaza.

Gov. Tim Walz said of the ceremony, "Minnesota is moving in a direction that everyone is welcome.”

I’m not sure about that, but, based on recent tragedies in Minneapolis, it appears murderous nut-jobs are welcome.

I have respect and admiration for Native Americans and their history, but I am more than a little leery about continuing to emphasize our differences instead of the things that make us American. And the 11 different “sovereign” tribal nations didn’t always play well together amongst themselves.

Walz’s claim that “everyone is welcome” in Minnesota is simply untrue. It is most assuredly not true of President Trump, whom Walz wishes would “make news,” meaning die, soon.

And probably not his supporters, either, meaning roughly 40% of his fellow citizens are persona non grata, as well. Tampon Tim did make the state a sanctuary for illegal aliens, though. And those seeking abortions or transgender surgeries.

You know the LGBTQ flag is welcome at the Capitol, as is the trans flag by itself. And in some of the state’s schoolrooms, too. But you know the governor wouldn’t raise the “MAGA” flag at the Capitol, if there was one, even though there are far more people in that group than the others referenced thus far. (Based on his past history, I wouldn’t be surprised if Walz someday allowed the flag of China — or even that of the Chinese Communist Party — to fly at the Capitol.)

Meanwhile, a full-sized Palestinian flag has been hanging in the hallway of a Brooklyn high school for months, despite complaints from Jewish teachers at the school.

Can American Indians even have history, with no “native” written language?

I work for a politically correct organization, where I live. I was required to attend an indoctrination session, er, ‘training session’, a short while ago. EVERY meeting, indoctrination session, etc., begins with a ‘land acknoledgement’. It has been going on for at least three years. I am old enough to remember when such meetings began with everyone standing for the singing, or playing of ‘Oh, Canada!’, and sometimes the readung of the Lord’s Prayer.

This PC ‘acknowledgement’ has replaced the national anthem and appears to be treated by those leading said meetings, as a ‘sacred ceremony’. As such, I said, ‘Amen’ immediately after the conclusion of the reading of said ‘acknowledgement’, as it appears to be ‘sacred’ to them. My ‘Amen’ was not appreciated. I got some rather dirty looks. I really don’t GaS! If they wish to fire me for it, I’ll make sure the union fights it until I turn 65 in a few months, and am pensioned off. I am sick of the PC Bravo Sierra!

Outside the twin cities ,Rochester and Duluth, Minnesota is Maga country.

So dont believe for even a minute that Minnesota is a looney bin.

And the natives have always been seeking political power. They became white inside as soon as they saw the $$$$ signs they could soak the government for.

They used to be the biggest welfare draw in the twin cities. Drugs, booze prostitution were all the jobs they usually had .

Back when Celebrate Diversity bumper stickers were popular I tried to get Celebrate Uni-versity ones printed but the cost was beyond my means at the time.

Since when do “sovereign indigenous tribal nations” have flags? Did they fly them at the Little Big Horn or Tippecanoe?

They’re ancestors were neither “indigenous” nor “Native American.”

Native American Flags R Us - no cultural appropriation there.

Does Elizabeth Warren get a cut from each flag sold?

And how much does the Land O Lakes Butter Girl get toward her pension for each flag sold?

Correct. Self-loathing is not good.

Of course they have a history. Whether or not it's accurately recorded is another matter.

I bet their new Somalisotta flag flies higher than all other. I wonder how the tribes feel about white liberals submitting the state to Islamic invaders?

Gov. Tim Walz

This guy is ridiculous and should be nowhere near any statehouse.

He looks crazy - he certainly acts that way:

The couple who bought the house next door to mine in Florida, could not get out of Minnesota fast enough. They were born and raised there, but they started hating everything about the direction the state was going in.

I happened upon a Minnesota state welfare type site which had a couple dozen free legal aid orgs for only Somalians. Is everyone welcome to Timmy’s Sharia law areas?

As far as I know, indians didn't have flags, maybe a feather on the end of their spear.

The logic of these hucksters is beyond belief.

Yes.

That was during his VP debate with JD Vance. He looked like his eyes were going to bug out of his head.
