Following the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk at a campus event in Orem, Utah on Wednesday, a number of users on the Bluesky app are calling for the deaths of other prominent figures on the right.
The New York Post reports that a slew of Bluesky users have posted calls for the deaths of Tesla founder Elon Musk, President Donald Trump, author J.K. Rowling and conservative commentators Ben Shapiro, Matt Walsh and Michael Knowles.
Screenshots capture the deranged threats ranging from violent language to outright suggestions as to who should be taken out next.
BlueSky has become an ordering service for assassinations.

Bluesky issued a warning to some of its users on Thursday that they were violating the social media platform community guidelines following numerous posts celebrating Kirk’s murder.
Those guidelines state that violent or threatening speech are not permitted, including “encouragement of violence against individuals, groups, institutions or the general public.”
Bluesky guidelines also prohibit wishes of harm, including expressions of a desire for harm directed at a specific person or group.
The social media app, created by former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, has become a sanctuary for progressives, in the wake of Elon Musk’s renovation of Twitter as X and following Trump’s win in 2024.
Bluesky has approximately 1.5 million daily users, according to data compiled by the platform.
Other notable influencers on the right are also being targeted, including Libs of TikTok founder Chaya Raichik, Andy Ngo, Christopher Rufo and Benny Johnson.
The platform had faced criticism earlier this summer after far-left extremists posted threats against federal officers and agents and sought personal information regarding their families and home addresses.
The New York Post confirmed that some of the posts had been taken down as of Thursday evening.
Meanwhile other social media platforms, including Meta YouTube, Discord and Reddit have taken measures to restrict content related to Kirk’s murder.
Those measures include flagging graphic content as well as removing posts celebrating Kirk’s death or restricting access to the content by younger users.
Considering that Parler was taken down decisively for allowing Q-related posts questioning the integrity of the 2020 election, why should these other platforms get a pass on open calls for literal bloodshed?

Reminds me of the genesis of the Reign of Terror of the French Revolution. At first, political differences between moderates and radicals, spilling over into violence, then thousands of French citizens being hauled to the guillotine. This went on all day long with crowds cheering the deaths of ordinary citizens.
The atmosphere here is very ugly and could easily go one way or the other.
Going after JK Rowling proves they don’t just hate conservative, they hate anyone who strays from their narrative.

Even if they’re not found guilty of anything, let the process be the punishment. Equal treatment.
