Probably Google text to speech, for your purposes.

I’d like the opposite: Speech, and especially video, to text.

I hate watching and listening.

A bit related.

Blackstone audio is the oldest and best audiobook publisher.

They have an appp called DOWNPOUR.

Their regular priced books are expensive.. 20s and 30s

However they have a daily sale book for 3.99 and two related books for 4.99. Those books tend to be older or classics.

Also many libraries have apps like CLOUD and among the dross one can find the more popular classics. Usually agatha christie and some of the other British and Americans. I just listened to 2 wila cathers recently.

I've used Balbolk for years.

Download to your computer. Easy to use. Features to slow or speed up texts. Records and saves audio files you create.

Cat got my tongue (larynx removed) so I need a type-to-vocal system that straps to my left forearm with largish keys for one-hand typing, with a self-adjusting volume that can go from barely-heard in near silent places to shout in very noisy ones.

That or prod Elon to perfect his mental link thing so the keyboard is bypassed entirely.
