Charlie Kirk comments on reactions from the left, including sympathy for the murderer from CNN's Van Jones, to the racial angle of the murder of a Ukrainian refugee in North Carolina.
"In reality we’re asking a very simple question, Mr. Jones, will you apologize for all the criminal justice reform you pushed forward that allowed these 14-time criminal offenders to walk the streets? You are the architect and designer of constantly feeling bad for the criminal—criminals who then kill more people like Irina Zarutska," Kirk said.
"And by the way, I didn’t bring up race. The attacker said, quote, 'I got that white girl.'"
"People say, Why does race matter? Oh, it matters because you made us care about race in the summer of 2020," Kirk said. "Looks like you’ve got to live up to your own rules. The second we make you live up to your ridiculous paradigm, you collapse like a house of cards."
CHARLIE KIRK: Van Jones was talking about me, and there are so many lies involved in what he said.
First of all, I never said the first part of what he claimed. I did say the second part, but this is a very important thing to focus on. Van Jones is saying I should be ashamed of myself.
And just a reminder—the murder of Irina Zarutska. Did you know that the attacker said, quote, “I got that white girl”? The attacker racialized this, just for the record.
Now, do you notice that the media suddenly tries to play the moral high ground when we make them live up to the standard they created—the construct they forced, the paradigm they constituted under George Floyd? The moment we make them live up to their own standard, they start to cry foul.

RIP Charlie. You did a lot of good.
I don’t remember being this angry. At the assassination, of course, but also at the bigoted statements from the left.
same
Trying to remember if there’s been any left wing leaders assassinated in the last few years ... here or even other countries ?
Can someone help me not be so cynical
This holds true for the Lefty media, the Lefty NGOs and "nonprofits," and the Leftists who "influence." It is the so-called grievance industry in its angry death throes.
I don’t remember any. Lots of foreign conservative politicians assassinated though. The most recent was in Columbia in June, Miguel Uribe Turbay.
Basically we’ve had it with that MSNBC and CNN garbage.
Conservatives don’t start violence. I am long overdue ready to finish it. There can only be one left standing.
Melissa Hortman, legislator from Minnesota was killed this year. I wouldn’t call her right of anything.
I just said to my wife, for some reason I feel if I just heard that a close personal friend was shot and killed. Gods speed sir.
After we found out killer worked for Walz, nothing more said about that, although Pritzker did mention her in his “keep shooting, we’ll blame Trump” monologue
Well, in the past, the left has never been so blatantly hateful as they are now.
This is the fruit of the party who outright rejected God as one of their democrat conventions.
And when God is excluded, guess who moves in and there's NO protection from that.
True but IIRC, she broke ranks with the democrat hive mind on some issue just shortly before her murder. And much as they tried to blame it on the right, it turned out the shooter was NOT right wing.
BTTT
Consequently, people like Kirk (though he represents the pinnacle of this movement) step into the breach and speak for moderation and for balanced, sober discussion of facts. These people take the place of a media that has long since voluntarily and openly surrendered its position in this culture.
He never told people to think his way, but rather to think their own mind and to know that they are not howling in the wilderness. When in college, I never was courageous enough to feel that anyone else held the same views that I did. No one was there for me me!
Silencing one voice will not end the effort. If anything, the Conservative element will certainly consolidate its status and move forward with greater energy...thanks to Charlie Kirk.
Nothing will take the place of Charlie Kirk, he'll be rememberd with gratitude and love. No one deserves what was done to him. I am angry!
The reason the evil ones hated Charlie Kirk was BECAUSE he was a good man.
The media suddenly tries to play the moral high ground.
Indeed I bet they already have made up jokes about Charlie Kirk’s death.
They are not sane people it’s why they are on the left in the first place.
