MSNBC has sparked outrage for its 'disgusting' and 'shameful' on-air comments while covering the fatal shooting of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk at a college event in Utah.
Kirk, who amassed a huge following for his fiery debates on university campuses, was assassinated in broad daylight mid-speech on Wednesday afternoon.
Reporting on the situation in real time, host Katy Tur called Kirk 'divisive' and 'polarizing' while political analyst Matthew Dowd suggested that the gunshot could have been fired by one of Kirk's supporters.
'[W]e don't know any of the full details of this yet,' Dowd said.
'We don't know if this is a supporter shooting their gun off in celebration or... So we have no idea about this.'
He also echoed Tur, calling Kirk 'one of the most divisive, especially divisive younger figures... who is constantly sort of pushing this sort of hate speech or sort of aimed at certain groups.'
'And I always go back to hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which then lead to hateful actions.'
Critics were quick to bash both journalists, as footage circulating online appeared to show Kirk shot fatally struck in the neck at Utah Valley University in Orem.

Lots of folks will be scouring Kirk’s videos for a gotcha. They won’t find one, maybe they’ll realize they agree with him.
If a panelist or anchor on any news organization tries to claim Charlie or other conservatives are to blame for this because of their “hateful rhetoric,” they need to be called out and labeled immediately as a violent extremist who condones political violence against their opposition. I hope our side has the balls to do this because the left does it every day with impunity.
This should be approached the same way that the evil of Nazism was approached in the wake of Germany’s defeat. The poisonous Leftist ideology that forms the foundation of this evil must be outlawed, and then the promotion or teaching of it criminalized. The specific elements of this belief system (murdering one’s own children, promoting violent crime and refusing to prosecute criminals, promoting or even condoning homosexuality or “transgenderism”, particularly to children, openly advocating the murder of political opponents, promoting and/or performing sexual mutilation of minors, etc.) should be listed and then outlawed, with the severest penalties for engaging in any of them.
But what about freedom of speech? That is of course a real concern, and must be held as one of the highest principles. BUT, we have been propagandized over time (by the left) to believe that we must therefore permit any form of perverse or even demonstrably anti-American speech to be allowed. That is not the case at all as sedition and treason are both illegal and can encompass mere speech. As has been said many times, the Constitution and its Bill of Rights is not a suicide pact.

Way back when I was a young skull full of mush my 11th grade history teacher told us how their very name, DEMOCRAT party, they use to insinuate anyone who doesn’t adhere to their agenda is anti freedom and racist, etc. This was one of many factors as to why I evolved toward conservatism by the time I graduated HS.
Undoubtedly, but everything worth doing is difficult, and we have no choice if we want to return to being able to live moral lives in peace, and without our children being brainwashed and perverted by leftist maniacs. Anyone who believes that is in any way overstating the seriousness of this moment is just a self-deluded fool.
