FBi investigating shooting at conservative lobbying group.

A gunman opened fire on a security guard at the Washington D.C., headquarters of a conservative Christian organization only to be tackled and subdued by the guard whom he had just shot in the arm, authorities said.

The suspect, identified by law enforcement sources as Floyd Corkins of Herndon, Va., is alleged to have entered the offices of The Family Research Council and yelled at the guard about the organization's policies.

The shooter soon fired a handgun at the guard at around 10:50 a.m. ET.

Corkins, who himself was not shot, was subdued by the injured guard and others, officials said. Police arrested him and authorities said he was being interviewed by the FBI.

Corkins was a volunteer at the DC Center for the LGBT Community, a community center in Washington for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, where the Associated Press reported the 28-year-old often worked at the front desk.

"I was shocked to hear that someone who has volunteered with the DC Center could be the cause of such a tragic act of violence," the center's executive director, David Mariner, said in a statement released to ABC News. "No matter the circumstances, we condemn such violence in the strongest terms possible. We hope for a full and speedy recovery for the victim and our thoughts are with him and his family."

The security guard, identified by the AP as Leo Johnson, was taken to a nearby hospital.

"The security guard here is a hero, as far as I'm concerned," said Metro Police Department Chief Cathy Lanier. "He did his job. The person never made it past the front."

Accused gunman ripped Family Research Council policies before opening fire, sources say

Southern Poverty Law Center Website Put FRC on ‘Hate Map’ Southern Poverty Law Center website triggered FRC shooting

I am sorry, but I feel like we are all a little guilty today. This happened over a decade ago, and after five minute it was down the memory hole, and we al let it happened.

I would think about this over the years, and be amazed how much the media presented the opposite was true. I forgot the details, and it was hard to dig it up.

But this, the Congressional shooting, and other incidents should be forced on the media.

Every notorious “mass shooting” that involved trannies, or queers, or pumped-full-of-drugs psych patients, or whatever needs to be resurrected and shoved in the face of Big Media.

This was another “gay” terrorist, motivated by the SPLC’s “hate map,” which told the terrorists where to go to exact revenge.

No one paid a price for it except the shooter.

Am I wrong, or has the Nashville shooter manifesto never been released?

Isn’t this the second time FRC has been attacked with firearms?

Hey, if anyone remembers other relevant events, let's list them all.

This is the guy who took Chick-Fil-A sandwiches there and was apparently going to throw them on the bodies?

Sorry, I out the date on there, I meant to also write a note.

But the "letting it pass" in 2012 lead to everything after.

Yep. He brought a bag of Chick-fil-A sandwiches that he was going to smear into the faces of the dead victims. This is how demonic this ideology is.

A lot of articles exist saying that it has been released, but I couldn’t quickly find a link to the trans/queer murderer’s “manifesto”.

I forgot about that, but I think you were right.

It's stupid, because Chick-Fil-A was already pro-gay by the time the controversy erupted.

Numerous examples of arson, vandalism, etc. in trying to get inside speaking events where figures like Ben Shapiro were - had they got in what do you think they would have done? Plenty of video of them acting like rabid animals outside of the buildings. An event where Dave Rubin was speaking had a massive insane crowd outside of it and a very elderly disabled woman using a walker just trying to cross the street in the area was blocked by the crowd and screamed at with F-bombs galore.

Also recall an assault on Education Secretary Betsy Devos when she was returning to her vehicle after a speaking event and one of the people acting like a rabid animal got ahold of her arm - security quickly pushed him away, but what if they had not done so as quickly as they did? Would they have ripped her to pieces? Probably so?

Just the tip of the iceberg.
