WASHINGTON (AP) — Global warming in the United States is amping up the country’s sweet tooth, a new study found.
When the temperature rises, Americans — especially those with less money and education — drink lots more sugary beverages and a bit more frozen desserts. It amounts to more than 100 million pounds of added sugar (358 million kilograms) consumed in a year, compared to 15 years earlier, according to a team of researchers in the U.S. and United Kingdom writing in Monday’s Nature Climate Change.

According to this bullsh*t logic, people in the the South wold eat more sugar. People in Maine would eat less sugar than those in New York.

Study and reporting is a classic example of manufactured “knowledge” and propaganda. We have lots of completely befuddled researchers and sycophant reporters.
Compared to 15 years earlier. We have a problem here, the US, even the world, has not warmed in the last 15 years, until a niño spike in 2023.
Thanks for saving me from having to mention the obvious. These articles are so ridiculous.
Yum, we made smores last night and finished off the fire and graham crackers. Ruined the planet with all that smoke, meat and sugar.
Every hurricane that happens this year and I will think of you.
Experts say....
ya mexican sode is made with real sugar, not the high fructose corn syrup crap that leads to increased obesities.
100 million pounds divided by 31 million people = 3.226 lbs. of sugar per person per year. That’s not very much, considering all the things sugar gets added in to.
We are also not adding the consumption by the hummingbirds that come to the feeder @ my place, put up a few years ago. /s

Not us I don’t think...we are cutting back for health issues....
