Yes. I will agree that the spectrum is too broad and that there is a lot of fraud. There is also a tendency for schools to take kids that have problems and warehousing them because those kids bring in four time the money a regular student does.

All of this is true.

But there is something else going on as well. I am seeing far to many kids from decent parents who are non-verbal.

Talking is what humans do.

When we have a significant rise in the number of humans who can not communicate something has gone wrong.
