It wasn’t ‘swanky.’ Geckos everywhere and we made the mistake of leaving a box of Rice Crispies unattended and we watched ants carry them UP THE WALLS one evening, LOL!
1983, drove to Abilene, TX, stayed the night, drove to San Antonio, stayed the night there and then drove to Brownsville/Matamoros, MX with my brother. Walked into the heart of the city for two days. It was late September, the ocean was warm. The people there appeared to like the fact that Mike and I were. Thanks for making me recall a memory.
