Under President Trump, some companies have been rolling back diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs, as the initiatives come under increased scrutiny. However, others have doubled down on their commitment, asserting that DEI programs are necessary to address historical inequities and foster a strong company culture.
In April, Resume Builder surveyed 1,216 hiring managers about their company’s commitment to DEI. The survey found that while many hiring managers believe DEI benefits the workplace, some feel these initiatives should be reduced or eliminated entirely due to the challenges they present.
Key findings:
61% of companies currently have a DEI program, 21% had one but ended it, and 18% have never had one
Of the companies that ended their DEI program, 9 in 10 did so within the past year, most citing political reasons
Among companies with DEI programs, 6 in 10 hiring managers say the company prioritizes diversity over qualifications, and 1 in 10 say their company avoids hiring white men
35% of hiring managers at companies with DEI programs feel reverse discrimination occurs
76% of hiring managers believe their company’s DEI program exists, at least in part, for appearances

Discuss and flame away if you wish.
I’d buy that.
Who the hell would want to work for them, anyway?
Avoid those companies like the plague.
If they have a website, it will be obvious.
People of Color Supremacy is what DIE is. And that’s all it is. Discrimination and racism.
Includes government agencies.
Not all are libs. Mrs C is not, but she just retired.
Some industries would hire no one if DEI was the mandate. Oil and gas services advertise for applicants in all of the right places to attract diversity. But almost no women or black men apply for these back breaking, demanding jobs. And the pay is good.

That’s right. I’m almost 75 and have hated bureaucrats/necrocracies for as long as I can remember.
I worked for a company for 25 years and we were all conservatives. It was a small company of about 15 and we had a very low turnover rate. Whenever we needed a new employee, the owner knew how to weed out the liberal applicants in such a way that they never caught on.

To me, its an indicator of management focusing on things other than their core business (i.e. delivering the best product or service to their customer). Other opinions may vary.
They wouldn’t last long in the real world.
Only 1 in 10?
Skills have no color, gender, age, or religious traits. Problem children do.
10/10. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt.
I worked for Ace Hardware for 17 months. Pure DEI from the HR babe and not one minority working the floor or in management.
and whites at these companies have to do 5 times more work to keep the companies going
A company that refuses to hire from the 4% of the world’s population that created 90% of civilization self-identifies as a lucrative target for short selling and put options.
Having recently updated my online resume and in looking for my next (last?) career step... as a White heterosexual Male...
The article’s premise seems accurate.
Companies have been successfully sued based on statistics showing they hired a lower percentage of minorities than existed in their hiring footprint.
So similar suits can be filed showing that the white employee percentage is lower than their local population.
Boeing on the list?
