Actress Kelley Mack, known for her roles in “The Walking Dead” and “Chicago Med,” died Saturday in her hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Mack succumbed to a battle with glioma, a form of cancer that affects the central nervous system, according to a blog on health platform Caringbridge about her health journey.
She was 33.
Mack, whose full name is Kelley Lynne Klebenow, said she first started noticing “persistent lower back pain” in October 2024.
Her health issues escalated the night before Thanksgiving when she went to the emergency room and underwent an MRI, which revealed “an abnormal mass” in her spinal cord.
In January, Mack was diagnosed with diffuse midline glioma, a rare tumor that begins in the brain or spinal cord, according to the National Cancer Institute.
“Due to the biopsy surgery on my spinal cord, I have lost the use of my right leg and most of my left leg, so I now get around with a walker and a wheelchair,” Mack said.
On March 26, she documented herself “re-learning how to walk” during her physical therapy as she walked up a set of stairs with support from a railing.
The Ohio native appeared in five episodes of “The Walking Dead” as Hilltop Colony resident “Addy” in season 9 of the hit post-apocalyptic horror series.
“I was only supposed to be in 2 episodes originally, so I was grateful to have been able to work on five of them and hadn’t anticipated that I’d stay on the show for too long,” Mack told Alternative Mindz in 2019.
Aside from her role on “The Walking Dead,” Mack has produced a series of short films and appeared as a guest star on shows like “9-1-1” and “Chicago Med.”

Another day, another new disease to worry about ...
If in the entertainment industry, the odds of her being vaxed are pretty high.
The arts and entertainment folks were Ultra Vax mandaters.
They’d have shot tables set up to vax people.there at the venues to shoot up the venue staff.with the vax If not vaxed you had to be tested.
It was insane.
God be with her.
My Dad died of glioma of the brain stem back in ‘88.
He was 75, but they told us glioma was usually found in children.
His was inoperable because it was diffused into the brain tissue.
They tried radiation, but it had no effect.
He died 2 months after diagnosis.
She is not to be confused with Allison Mack.
My uncle died of a brain tumor back in 2004. That was before the democRATs used a vaccine as an election scam.
Sad but his money could not find a cure for that tumor.
Died Suddenly. Many axx deaths are oh so merciful. They don’t give one time to suffer.
It is related to the Died Suddenly syndrome which seems to have come from outer space.
California colleges and universities were intimidating and pushing students to get the jabs. They made it almost impossible to go anywhere on campus without proof of jabs. My grandson just graduated from CalPoly. My daughter kept all the crap CalPoly sent out on the jabs and she plans to sue them the minute my grandson has an issue because of the jabs. The day he got his jab, he ended up in the ER with chest pains. He’s an only child and my daughter is still major pissed over it.
“If you like that genre, the early seasons are pretty good. But after they became extremely popular, they decided to start adding gay characters, and it was all downhill after that.”
Yep. In the middle of a zombie war the writers decided to have a full blown male on male kiss. I was so pissed. I really liked the show but that is an automatic “I’m out”. And that’s the second time that happened. The first was Lost. I have not attempted to watch a network show since.
yep, in recent years any really good normal show that is doing well... they have to insert some random gay crap into it that wasn’t in it to begin with and ruin it.
