The official cause of death for WWE Legend Hulk Hogan has been released.
As the New York Post reported, The Pinellas County Forensic Science Center announced that Hogan died from acute myocardial infarction, which occurs when the blood flow to the heart muscle suddenly becomes blocked.
The New York Post also obtained documents showing that Hogan had a history of an irregular and rapid heart rate.
He also had a history of cancer called leukemia CLL. This cancer affects white blood cells called lymphocytes.
This is the first time it has been revealed that Hogan had battled cancer.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Hogan died back on July 24 at 71 years old.
Medics were dispatched to Hogan’s Clearwater, Florida home with operators stating it was regarding a “cardiac arrest.”
TMZ reported that a slew of police cars and EMTs were seen parked outside Hogan’s home and the icon was carried on a stretcher and into an ambulance.
Hogan was known as one President Trump’s biggest supporters. Who can forget his legendary speech at the RNC Convention where he ripped off his shirt as he sang Trump’s praises?
An emotional Trump paid tribute to the wrestling great following his death.
“We lost a great friend today, the “Hulkster.” Hulk Hogan was MAGA all the way — Strong, tough, smart, but with the biggest heart. He gave an absolutely electric speech at the Republican National Convention, that was one of the highlights of the entire week. He entertained fans from all over the World, and the cultural impact he had was massive. To his wife, Sky, and family, we give our warmest best wishes and love. Hulk Hogan will be greatly missed!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Pro wrestling is scripted. If you look at what they do to their bodies, you really can’t call it “fake.” Yeah, I know, semantics, but they’re athletes. A lot more than they used to be 40+ years ago, which was one of Hulk’s selling points to be honest. You still had big doughy guys like Dusty Rhodes who were huge because of their charisma, then here came Hulk with a great combination of microphone skills and those “24-inch pythons.” Between the talk and the look, he was special. (He wasn’t actually very special in the ring, to be frank, when you compare him to other in-ring performers of the ‘80s.)

When I’d go to wrestling matches in Birmingham AL in lower budget leagues than the WWE it was obvious it was scripted, and they stomped the floor to make punches sound louder, and the floor seemed to have shock absorption built into it in some fashion to take away most of the impact of body slams. But at the same time it required a lot more strength and physical beating than I’ll ever have.
