Tom Brady takes a swipe at Gisele Bundchen over their divorce in letter about providing for his family

Tom Brady has seemingly taken a swipe at his supermodel ex-wife Gisele Bundchen in his latest newsletter about providing for his family.

The NFL great, a seven-time Super Bowl winner, split from his wife of 13 years in October 2023, months after dramatically reversing his decision to retire from football.

After their split was announced, Bundchen repeatedly alluded to her unhappiness at how much Brady focused on his sporting career at the cost of his family, with his unretirement said to be the tipping point.

Now, in a newsletter Brady has recently started writing to his fans, the 47-year-old has said that he viewed his career as a central part of being a good father to his three children.

'I think part of being a great father is being a great example of doing what it takes to take care of your family,' Brady wrote. 'I chose to do it by playing football.'

He continued: 'My dedication to the sport, the hours of practice, the moments when I was laser focused - those were times when I believe I was doing the best possible thing for my family and my kids, by prioritizing my profession and teaching, by example, what it takes to be really good at your job, what it takes to follow through on commitments, what it takes to be a great teammate; and showing them, also by example, that work is a big part of all of our lives.'

Keep in mind, he wa married to the former number one model in the world.
She actually made more money than he did the majority if not all of their marriage.

She was making $30MM yearly when the Pats did even want to pay him $25MM after he had won five Superbowls. Which is why he left to go to Tampa Bay and won his last ring.

He did it because he loved the game and his role in it and the challenge.

And the drug of fame, being on TV, and football groupies.

Oh? So you know Brady personally, do you?

Tom Brady was put on this earth to play football. Did he overdo it?
Glen Yarborough: “Wherever my heart leads me”.

In the real world the rest of us guys have to struggle. A man has to perform up to someone else’s standard to stay employed. A woman can be as good or a bad a mom as she wants. When women have to work the guys tend to come up short at home.

Gieselle had another child after the divorce. Ulterior motive?

It seems strange that they would break up over him playing for an extra year or two. So he does play for those extra 2 seasons. So what? Obviously it couldn’t have been that bad or I doubt she’d have been with him for 13 years while he was playing.

Where was Giselle’s “concern for her family” when she had a fling with her male Brazilian
Jiu-jitsu coach? Oh right! She was “searching for her authentic-self” or some darned thing.

Sort of. He was my father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate.

She just wanted an excuse to see her jiu-jitsu instructor.

So, she didn’t understand what he did for a living, and the impact working at that level had on his ‘commitments’?

Or did she think he’d “change for her”....?

I disagree. He gives the standard workaholic excuses. But he was already wealthy, his wife was wealthy in her own right.

Kids are only kids for a few years and then it’s Cat’s in the Cradle time. They want time, not more designer stuff.

Lots of men make this mistake and then it’s the divorce came out of nowhere time.

There’s always two sides to this stuff.

Your response is the best one on this thread. Kudos.

Women initiate divorces because men aren’t paying attention.

Men cheat more, commit more acts of violence, more likely to have substance abuse problems, or gamble or have porn addictions.

Not saying women don’t do those things too, just not anywhere near the same rates (yet).

The persons who wreck a marriage with the above behaviors almost never file because they just don’t care and can’t be bothered. The person who files is the one trying to hold shit together.

Women no longer have to stay married to dysfunctional men because they have economic options their grandmothers didn’t.

Men generally have never stayed married to dysfunctional women because they’ve always had options.

He not only provided for his family playing football, but don’t forget he picked up some serious cash pimping that ponzi scheme known as FTX.
