Grew up on his music. Fantastic entertainer. Not a role model but if you succeed in the music industry for many years you are not a slouch. Still remember the Great American Rock festival in Michigan in 1984. Great times and great memories! I don’t know if you tell Ozzy to rest in peace or rot in hell ... I’m sure he sold his soul do whichever side of the equation he wanted to end up in with.

A good long run for a Rocker with his previous lifestyle.

Dude, your thread is number four. If you would have held out for five, you would have received a Prince of Darkness cape and a bat.

I thought the “Prince of Darkness” was Lucas Electronics.

My time as a hearty partier seems insignificant compared to Ozzy’s, and yet he managed to live well past 70. RIP.

Here’s a link to a funny Ozzy Osbourne anecdote from Donnie Osmond. He does a great impression of the Late Great Prince of Darkness at the 2004 Pollstar Concert Industry Awards.

My cousin was born with a heart defect. After many failed operations he was told he had weeks to live. He was 17. The Make a Wish foundation asked him what he wanted and he told them he wanted to live long enough to see Ozzy's No More Tears show a couple months out.
Ozzy and Zach Wylde, his guitarist, visited his hospital room for hours and played an impromtu acoustic version of the whole show for him.
My little old mormon grandmother said she had never seen such love from such scary-looking people.
He died a few weeks later and was buried in his Ozzy shirt.

My brother informed me that when Ozzy’s wife got cancer, he said about it, “I pray for my wife every day. And NOT to Satan!”.

I would very much dislike being known as the prince of darkness whom Ozzy probably knew very well.
