MARION COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A handcuffed woman on her way to jail in a patrol car allegedly managed to retrieve a hidden gun from her waist and opened fire on the deputy who arrested her.
The Marion County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) said that on Monday at 10 a.m. Rheanna Harden was arrested on multiple charges after a traffic stop.
According to MCSO, Haren was handcuffed and searched before she was put in the backseat of a deputy's patrol car to take her to jail.
Officials said that while on their way to jail, traveling on S highway near the 2900 block, Harden, who was still handcuffed, managed to retrieve a concealed firearm from her pants and opened fire at the deputy's head.
The patrol vehicle then crashed into a utility pole, and the deputy got out of the vehicle, returned fire, and sought cover, per MCSO.
The deputy suffered a graze wound near his right eye, while Harden sustained injuries to her shoulder and hip.
Harden, who has a lengthy criminal history, was initially accused of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Providing False Identification to Law Enforcement, and Knowingly Driving While License Suspended after the traffic stop.
However, she now faces additional charges and is being held at the Marion County Jail without bond.

Gotcher serious Meth Face going right there...
It was socially awkward, without question.
She could have hid the gun in her vee-jay-jay.
Meth is not difficult to get in jail or prison.
Pity.
Female cop?
“Is that a meth face face?’’
Yes. That’s the very picture of it.
Yup.

The best.
This will be my future wife.
DON'T YOU PUT YOUR HANDS ON MY FIANCEE
“They carry latex gloves for that.”
nitrile has largely replace latex for disposable gloves in the U.S. due to latex allergies ... for example, all gloves sold in Walmart, Sam’s Club, Costco, Harbor Freight are nitrile ...
the cops featured across the nation on the TV show On Patrol Live all use heavy duty black gloves that are clearly not latex ...
The following table ranks all 50 U.S. states by their drug bust rate per 100,000 residents, which is the closest available proxy for methamphetamine-related arrests,
as most states do not break down arrest data by drug type in publicly available statistics.
States with the highest rates are most likely to have significant meth-related law enforcement activity, particularly in regions known for meth production and use.

Dunno. But it’s a terminal case of “Resting B*tch Face”.

Female deputies aren’t always available. I do like the metal detector idea though. It won’t stop some items but it’ll catch the “stabby shooty” ones.
