A Pair of Lawsuits Promise to Expose the Truth Behind the July 1996 Disaster.
On July 17, 1996, TWA 800, a Paris-bound 747, blew up ten miles off Long Island’s south shore, killing all 230 souls on board. In the days leading up to the anniversary, I will share some fresh insights on this tragedy and the much too successful cover-up that followed.
After 25 years investigating the destruction of TWA Flight 800, I have learned to temper my enthusiasms. That said, I continue to take heart when I see signs of life. Perhaps the most promising development in the case is the progression through the courts of Krick v. Raytheon.
Ronald Krick is the father of Oliver Krick, a 25-year-old student flight engineer killed in the crash. Krick has been joined in the suit by relatives of other deceased passengers and crew. The defendants are the Raytheon Company, the Lockheed Martin Corporation, and the United States government.
The Krick suit gained momentum when it absorbed information gleaned from a FOIA suit brought by Tom Stalcup, a no-nonsense physicist who has been pursuing this case since he was a grad student in 1996. To establish his claims Stalcup was granted subpoena power and was able to depose several key witnesses from within the investigation.
Stalcup appeared in the 2001 documentary, Silenced, produced by me and my late partner James Sanders. In 2013 Stalcup and the late Kristina Borjesson, formerly of CBS News, produced the excellent documentary, TWA Flight 800. What follows are extended passages from Krick v. Raytheon.
—On July 17, 1996, a Boeing 747 headed for Paris took off from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport at around 8:20 p.m. Within twelve minutes of takeoff, the plane exploded and crashed into the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Long Island, New York. All 230 passengers and crew members perished.
—After the incident, the federal government released a false report contending that the explosion was the result of an electrical fire in the airplane’s center fuel tank.
—Only recently, thanks to the work of physicist, Dr. Thomas Stalcup, through his Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”) litigation in Massachusetts federal court, has evidence emerged proving that TWA 800’s explosion was not caused by any defect in the airplane, but instead by an errant United States missile fired at aerial target drones flying nearby.
—The evidence unearthed by Dr. Stalcup establishes that the United States, including its agencies, such as the United States Missile Defense Agency (formerly known as the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization), the United States Department of Defense, and the United States Navy (the “Government Defendants”), acting in concert and working side-by-side with Raytheon Company and Lockheed Martin Corporation (the “Contractor Defendants”) and DOES 1 through 20, inclusive (collectively the “Defendants”) were testing the Aegis Weapons System and firing SM-2 missiles with live warheads from warship(s) at aerial missile targets off the coast of New York in close proximity to commercial airline flight paths. One such missile struck TWA flight 800, causing it to break apart and crash into the Atlantic Ocean, killing everyone aboard.
—Newly discovered evidence also shows that these Defendants engaged in a top-down cover-up to prevent the public from learning the truth about TWA 800. Proof of this cover-up, and of Defendants’ underlying culpability for the crash, was only recently unearthed by Dr. Stalcup after more than a decade of FOIA litigation against the Government Defendants.....SNIP
The first part is correct, the last part is wrong.
The missile which hit Flight 800 was fired by Iranian mercenaries for the purpose of getting revenge against the United States for shooting down Iran Air flight 655.
I have a contact who has inside knowledge of what happened, and this is what he told me.
People are barking up the wrong tree thinking the US Navy misfired the missile that hit Flight 800. The truth is that it was done deliberately by Iranian mercenaries.
There were also radar tracks showing a missile, which the *BILL CLINTON* ordered coverup immediately grabbed up and they were no longer seen.
Abraham Lincoln. He supercharged all government corruption which existed before him.
Those things are not subtle. Everyone on board and for miles around would know it had been fired.

My daughter was stationed at China Lake when she was in the Navy and still 20 years later she refuses to share even one thing about what she saw and experienced there. Zero... Zip... Followed this story closely as it developed ... Kalstrom who was heading up the investigation, initially, was pursuing the errant missile theory. Three or four days into the initial investigation he was called down to Washington, DC ... when he returned a couple of days later he was pushing the center fuel tank explosion narrative. That was when I became very skeptical of the info being pushed out for public consumption ... believing his superiors in the DC swamp got to Kalstrom & told him to pursue the center fuel tank narrative.
No it wasn't. It was a missile fired by Iranian mercenaries for the sole purpose of taking revenge against the United States for shooting down Iran Air flight 655.
A wealthy Iranian family hired these men who were former Republican Guard soldiers to shoot down that aircraft.
I know someone who was inside the coverup loop and this is what he has told me. He also told me of some proof to support it, but I cannot mention what sort of proof it is because it makes it too easy to identify my source.
The Iranians did it and *COWARD* Bill Clinton did not want to go to war with Iran, which is exactly what would have happened had they told the truth. Our European "allies" also wanted Iran left alone so as not to disrupt their supplies of oil, and *NOBODY* wanted the commercial air industry destroyed by public fear of getting shot down.
And it was a few months before the election, and the one thing that mattered most to that shit bag Bill Clinton was retaining power.
It was a fuel center tank explosion. There have been a few of them on commercial aircraft, so it has and can happen.
The missile theories run into a whole bunch of problems. What kind of missile, from what platform, and how was it employed is easy to speculate. Does any missile theory make sense in real life, outside of conspiracy musing on the internet? No one wants to answer those questions.
The USN does missile tests away from civilian air traffic, and their missiles have self destruct features if they lose their intended target. The idea the USN would for the hell of it, us an Aegis cruiser in range of civilian traffic to fire off SM-2s is nonsense. As is the idea a crew of 330 all keeping their mouths shut about it, along with the yard crews replacing weapons, the Navy admiralty who would all have to be in on the cover up, for 30 years. Not one word from any of them.
My own problem is this: TWA-800 went down ten miles off shore. Most of the witnesses were along the coast or inland. At 10 to 20 miles away, any surface to air missile that could hit TWA-800 would be invisible to the human eye.
There is nobody on deck when they are launching missiles. The only ones who know what is going on work in the fire control center. The number of sailors who would actually anything would be limited to a few men with elevated security clearances.
The deck logs from every ship in the area can be pulled from Naval Archives they will note position and activities that occurred on that day. They would include any missle shots occurring.
If need be the deck logs for every ship ported on the east coast at the time could be requested and perused.

The CIA is supposed to be a foreign focused agency. They are not supposed to be doing anything in Domestic America except counter intelligence against foreign agents.
So why would the CIA be involved? Could it be because it was a *FOREIGN* agency that did this?
Why was the FBI involved? Because Bill Clinton ordered a coverup.

I actively followed the story after the Flight 800 crash, mostly because of the number of people who witnessed a streak of light approaching the airplane before it exploded. At least one of those eye witnesses had military experience. There was another military person who said the distribution of the wreckage in the water was indicative of an explosion. I met up with my former college roommate and flight instructor several years later, in part because we both had young sons nearly the same age. He was an airline pilot, so I asked him if he had heard anything about the cause of the crash, and told him about the eyewitnesses. He reacted as if I was the problem, not what happened to Flight 800.

There is a big difference between your daughter not sharing and between not sharing information about illegal acts. And, yes, shooting down a civilian airliner would be illegal.

If a US Navy ship had shot down a plane full of passengers, (Like the USS Vincennes did in 1988 (Iran Air 655) then there is no way you could cover it up.
Hell, we admitted we did it in 1988! Why would we not admit it in 1996?
Why would we admit we shot down a civilian airliner in Iran, but not admit we shot down one in US Coastal waters?
You know we would admit such a thing if it happened. The US government has often admitted mistakes which cause loss of life, even big mistakes.
But if it were the Iranians? We would have to cover it up to stop a war. The American public would demand blood if they knew the Iranians deliberately shot down one of our civilian airliners in our own home airspace.
It would have been war. Something *COWARD* Bill Clinton was terrified of.
Within a couple of hours of the event, I was told we will hear that our own Navy shot this plane down. Then we went into a lengthy conversation regarding Madems, Statems, and Tatems!

It was a missile, and anyone with 2 brain cells knew it.
I think it was this event that eventually brought me Freeperville (since ‘98 under a few handles).
