Bob’s Country Bunker was ahead of its time.

It’s okay. The singer’s voice sounds artificial, or like a human voice that has been electronically manipulated. It reminds me of Cher in “Do You Believe in Life After Love?”

I would be much more impressed by actual human musicians turning Metallic songs into country. Any true art comes human creativity, and that is what AI, no matter how “good” its product, takes away from us.

One of my friends has NO musical training, and he is able to produce songs that I believe would be top 40 country radio in Nashville. He describes the style he wants, and provides his own lyrics, and the AI result is simply amazing.

Not nearly as good as Confederate Songs sung in Japanese by anime girls.

Very unsatisfying. Not so much country versions of Metallica music, but just random AI country music made using Metallica lyrics.

Check out “Iron Horse”, a bluegrass band that does Metallica. They’re actually quite good.

I recommend Hayseed Dixie. Great metal tunes transformed to blue grass. Strummin with the Devil was a great album.

Yes AI can create lowest common denominator slop if you want that.

But in this case they just took the lyrics and created new songs in the desired genre without regard to the original musical or vocal melodies. Not impressed.

I suspect they will get better at it over time.

Good music goes both ways imo. E.g. Metallica to classical, or classical to metal. In this case ‘country’...not that I’m country fan.
