It certainly makes the most sense. How does the value of my property increase my government service cost. Is that a flat tax I smell.
I love the way POTUS Trump thinks. Now compare your local government officials salary with the salary of a US Cabinet officer and get back to me.
Why do we pay local officials so much money, yet our cities and counties are broke?

Not sure how that will work in Texas. It is the major funding source for publik screwels.

Attempts to starve the monster of government have failed since the 1980s.
Government has to be systematically dismantled.

BREAKING: President Trump says he wants no more property taxes across the United States.Agreed. Raise the sales tax. Or income tax instead.
Once you've bought your house, it belongs to you, period.

Institution of property taxes transfers ownership of all land to the government.
Fail to pay your tax/rent and they kick you off.
Unless you’re a squatter. Then you can stay.

That makes me think the local officials should be replaced with AI.

“States will not buy into this”

Will this be like his promise of no tax on SS? [I don’t see where my SS will cease to be taxed.]

Publik Screwels in every state will scream bloody murder.
Better yet, FIX THE SCREWRL FUNDING. States need to take resident density ( aka a crap ton of kids from apartment complexes) into TAX considerations.

Has nothing to do with winning or losing. He signed the big beautiful bill which neglected to have this in it. It’s too late. I’m not even sure it’s a federal issue. Why doesn’t he clean up the income tax process and put it on a post card like he promised. That’d be worthwhile.
