Biden struggles to set up beach chair in Malibu during first Fourth of July weekend since leaving office

What a difference a year makes.

Former President Joe Biden was snapped struggling to set up a beach chair Thursday before catching some rays with family near his son Hunter’s home in Malibu, Calif., to kick off his first Independence Day weekend since leaving office.

The ex-commander-in-chief — who took more vacation days than any modern US president — looked right at home lounging under a red umbrella with former first lady Jill Biden, while granddaughter Finnegan and grandson Beau Biden Jr. frolicked in the sand nearby.

At least 577 days of Biden’s 1,463-day term were spent vacationing — including luxurious stays at St. Croix and Nantucket as well as family getaways at Rehoboth Beach, Del.

During his trips away from Washington, viral videos of the 46th president stumbling while walking across the sand and taking a tumble off his bike gave ammo to critics calling out his mental and physical decline.

Thursday’s photos show the 82-year-old former Delaware senator and vice president happily shaking sand from his towel while wearing his signature aviator sunglasses and presidential baseball cap, before packing up.

Onlookers later spotted the elder Biden dining with Hunter at his favorite sushi joint Nobu later on Thursday after having given a keynote address at a human resources conference in San Diego earlier this week.

“I do not want you to miss any important family obligations for work,” the ex-president told the Society for Human Resource Management of his instructions to White House staff.

“There are moments we’ll never get back,” the former president warned attendees.

Like those types of vacuum cleaners and floor washers that have 71 steps and 7 hoses and look like a NASA rocket launch system inside.

Just a note on Hunter's "Malibu Home": it is not his. He leased it. Hunter is in arrears,
facing eviction, a true dyed in the wool deadbeat. The whole family is steeped in grift.

I was in Malibu today. Biden should have put a MAGA flag, Old Glory, a Gadsden flag or all three on his car and joined us in our Independence Day Road Rally down Pacific Coast Highway to Point Mugu, about 20 miles to the west. It was sponsored by 805 Patriots (named for the area code), which also sponsored this Memorial Day road rally a few weeks ago.

"Maybe he should try Auto Unfold next time."

I don't understand why he insists on sitting in such a low chair. He'd be better off using a lounge chair, but he'd probably screw that up too.

"Unless it was just another communist BS propaganda play..."

More like trying to make it look like he's too far gone to be able to stand charges in a court. How could they do that to poor Joe. He's dying of cancer.

And Taco Jill’s priority was getting SPF 35 on her legs. What a lovely arrangement.

Yeah, now the media are all over it, right?

He’s been tripping and falling all over himself for years - plus other signs of dementia - which the media, especially the likes of Jake Tapper - covered up and excused for years.

i gotta say this, like it or not,
i am weary of the mass media stories about Biden’s various alleged physical and mental infirmities

heck, he is old enough to have them and it is not news (perhaps it was when he was POTUS but not now)

perhaps the media could find something newsworthy to inform us about, instead of whether an old man is seen having some difficulty opening a plastic beach chair at a beach town?

like, my crow refused to eat his all-grain bread today, insisting on a hard boiled egg instead. Now, that’s more newsworthy than another story about Biden and his beach chair

This traitor who sold out America to enrich himself and his family needs to take a long deserved dirt nap.

And there’s Uncle Joe. He’s a-movin kinda slow.

I’m hearing Tim Conway type music from one of his Comedy Skits in the background.

Hunter must have had a few million Yen stashed aside to afford to live in Malibu.

Biden even got a call from Pope Francis praising him for being such a devout Catholic.

I can picture Obama’s minions prank calling Joe pretending to be Macron or Xi or whoever, with really bad fake accents, asking his advice about dealing with Trump and snickering to their cronies while he answers.

Yakety Sax would also be great background music for Joe on the beach. There’s Dr. Jill, oblivious to her Man’s trouble, as usual. She’s probably on Face Time, chatting with Anthony Bernal aka her ‘Work Husband’.
