It's a long way to New Zealand, though.
Back in my luggage=delivery days I was coming back from Bandera one night (an interesting delivery but not germane to this) when I saw something BIG AND DARK in the median, A couple miles later there were a couple vehicles stopped on the side of the road so I stopped.
They asked: “You haven’t seen an emu, have you?”
Well, maybe - told them where I say it and drove on.
Probably part of Waltzing Tiny Timmy’s “Vote for what you don’t need” project.
Rod Hull had an amazing emu.
It’s not just your kangaroo you have to tie down, sport.
Were they sad and dressed in black?
After subduing Australia, now their scouts are seeking to colonize America.
Have you ever heard of a thing called Emus? Do you realize that they are the most monstrously conceived and dangerous avian plot we have ever had to face?”
“Talking about your Emu queen again, Aussie Bob? And on the 4th of July.”
(Neck-wringing by Little Bill commences)
So that’s why people raise Emus, for the meat? Was there some kind of tax break way back when to farm them? Just don’t get it. Do enjoy them in the commercials, tho’ that’s pretty limited.🤔
As God as my witness I thought Emus could fly!.......
They can a little bit... lol
“You’re just a flightless bird. You’ll be back.”
“No, he’s a dreamer.”
“Better not let Tom Homan hear that.”
Are they selling auto insurance on the side?

I’d keep Emus as pets but would never consider eating them.
Only meat I eat is chicken. They’re not so cute.
Emus wanted to get independence from the Minnesota climate and Tim Walz.
Indeed even skunks can’t stand the stench of him.
When the fake market for emus collapsed in the late 90’s, the dupes who had bought into the scam just turned their emus loose. There were many reports of emus run amuck all around Texas.
As I remember they were selling “breeding pairs for $20,000.
People bought farms and created ranches for the “other other white meat”.
There was never a market for them, except for other breeders.
