It's been quite a few months for Donald, his administration and the Congress.
I doubt any president has had his successes in the same first 5 or so months - or even a 4 year term - that he has had.
Which now begs the question - now what??
My 2 cents is to win the mid terms and codify all or most of those executive actions. Pick them off one by one so the next president can not easily unwind these E.A.'s
And when given the opportunity, fill a SCOTUS seat with a true constructionist.
Your thoughts???
I hope he doesn’t let up and presses them very hard about doing a new census that replaces that sham Biden did.
Mars has oceans?
He could start planning his Big Beautiful Presidential Library...using CBS’s $16.
In Greenland.
Well, he won’t be going to Disneyland, but he will be signing the Bill tomorrow.
Hopefully, he’s going to push for stand alone bills, one by one to really get things where they ought to be.
Go through Congress to wipe out the IRS,education, the post office, irregular voting, ranked choice voting, ...
Eliminate DST!
Which now begs the question - now what??
You talk as if he's finished. Yet he's barely begun fixing America's problems.
Tens of millions of migrants still here.
Now what? Keep doing what's he doing. Even at this rate, there'll still be plenty of problems for his successors to fix a decade from now.
Sounds like a plan...
I have little doubt that the President is thinking along similar lines...
I don’t know what’s next, but he does. We know he’s working on ending two intractable conflicts while negotiating tariffs. The tariff thing is important, complete that and the animal spirits will take off even more.
Play a round of golf this weekend after signing the bill tomorrow?
CNN reports he’s just going to sit back and watch millions die because of Medicaid cuts.
“When Murkowski voted for it. I quit paying attention to it. That’s a bad sign.”
She’s in the group that is always for sale. She sold her vote, biz as usual and has nothing to do with all the good things in the bill. She got something that helps her in her locale.
Given the mindset this man seems to display he might answer that question with ...
“Now I can get to work!”
we need voter ID and election security

on tomorrow’s One Big Beautiful Bill signing: “We’re signing at about 5:00p — and at about 5:00p, we’re going to have B-2s and F-22s and F-35s flying right over the White House ... so we’ll be signing with those beautiful planes flying right over our heads.” 🇺🇸
“My fellow Americans.
I have just signed legislation that outlaws the democrat party.
The deportations begin in five minutes.”
Taking on healthcare reform needs to be on the agenda. The healthcare system is mostly devoid of market forces with third parties paying for most healthcare. It's been badly broken for a long time and was made worse by Obamacare.
I hope the President takes some time to really sit back and laugh with some good friends about how unmistakably he grabbed Obama by the pu$$¥ - the undoing of Iran, the BBB, all of it on the eve of the 250th Independence Day.
Thank You, thank You, thank You, good and gracious God!
Exactly what successes are you referring to?
All I have seen is chaos. Trump came into office with a great deal of Goodwill and Political Capital and in a matter of 5 months has blown most of it.
In fact I see a presidency slowly imploding.
Certainly was not the peace candidate he has ended up being the War President and the Middle East mess is just starting not ending.
He will never get the deals there he wants as he will never get a deal with Russia except on their terms. Iran proved themselves stronger than Israel and the U.S. thought hence the Pause in the war that came from Israel, not Iran.
Then we have this massive Reconciliation Bill just passed that does nothing for the Debt and Deficit at all. I remember when Trump first ran he said he would never sign any of these types of bills and folded every time in his first term doing so.
Most people on this site were against these Bills dating back to Bush and Obama, yet here we are with MAGA supporting another pork laden bill that does nothing to address Spending and the Debt.
In the last 25 years this country has increased the Debt by $30 or more Trillion Dollars and wrecked our finances. We now have to pay over $1 Trillion in Interest on the Debt. How will long can we do that before we finally have to either partially or fully Default on it?
The main reason I think Musk left Trump is he became very disillusioned by all the work he did and it turned out to be all for nothing. No real cuts on spending no attempt at a balanced budget and to get spending under control. He finally realized just how truly Corrupt D.C. is.
So I am very Cynical on where we are and what the future holds.
