Byran Kohberger Accepts Plea Deal Idaho Student Murders Case
Fox News ^ | July 1, 2025 | Michael Ruiz

Idaho student murders suspect Bryan Kohberger has accepted a plea deal to spare his life in the murders of four University of Idaho students, two sources close to the case told Fox News Digital Monday.

Kohberger, 30, is accused of killing Madison Mogen, 21, Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Ethan Chapin, 20, in a 4 a.m. home invasion attack on Nov. 13, 2022.

Goncalves' family issued a scathing statement Monday evening, hours after the news became public, saying that they had been "vaguely" approached on Friday about the possibility of a deal but were blindsided that it was done by Sunday.

Big win for all.

Depends on how you look at it. In my view, the firing squad would have been the better solution.

In a death penalty state, if this case does not fit the death penalty, what would it take?

I’m surprised that the prosecution took this. They probably were going to get a conviction. Evidence was strong. Did they do it to spare the families?

Not at all. The families are furious that they weren't consulted. They don't like the idea that they have questions that won't be answered, that this evil creature will get to communicate with the outside world, and that he continues to use up oxygen.

Prosecutors Office says they are sparing the families the graphic details at the trial and years of appeals afterward.

The families say they were blindsided and want the trial and the death penalty.

It would have taken twenty years of expense, hassle and trouble before the death penalty would have been imposed.

“Big win for all”

That’s not what the victims families think......they are HIGHLY upset about this development.

The evidence is compelling to say the least. This psyco will be sucking oxygen for years to come and his victims have been silenced forever.

Considering the crazy rulings from liberal judges over the last few months, I don’t see how a prosecutor can be blamed for taking the sure thing.

Even if they manage to obtain a guilty verdict, nothing is certain once the appeals process begins.

Considering the perp’s age, a life sentence will probably cause more suffering than getting the needle.

Exactly. They got a sure thing, life without parole and no appeals. He will die in prison. If you take it to court all it takes is one juror to tank it and have a mistrial. The Mangioni dude in NYC shot the CEO in the back of the head and he has an adoring fan club. Never underestimate how retarded people are these days.

You’ll probably never know any of that.....or what he did with the murder weapon either for that matter.
