My wife ordered some exotic-ish tea and I got an email that my Samsung remote control device had been delivered. I ordered some water filters and I got an email that my Makita tool accessories had arrived.
I never ordered, nor received, a Samsung remote control device. Ditto Makita stuff.
Are they transitioning to all AI?
Oh yes, I get emails all the time that are supposedly from Amazon, but they really are not from Amazon at all. When you click on reply, the real email address is revealed.
There is some scam going around that boosts positive posts about products by sending items to people that they didn’t order, making it appear that they did order it, but it somehow gives the scammer the ability to leave positive reviews of the item. I’m not exactly sure how it works, but a neighbor received an item they never ordered, but it clearly was sent to their address with the bill details. I looked into it for them and sure enough there is some kind of scam doing g that. I know that’s not your case, but just wanted to let folks know about it, as your post reminded me of it.
You have been scammed. Check your account immediately to see if the items have been billed to your account.
But first........ check the e mail sender. It is probable that it is not really a valid Amazon e mail address and the message is a scam to get you to reply
I dropped Amazon after items I did not order were charged to my account. Amazon aould do nothing about it. I had my bank cancel the payment and thereby became criminal in Amazon eyes.
I’m certain that with all the Amazon security rocedures, the theft was an inside job. They protect their own and will never admit complicity.
Your email has a picture of the delivery package at the spot where was placed, and it taken by the delivery driver.
Maybe there is theft problem; get a ring door bell if you want to watch your porch pirate activities.
I signed up with USPS, UPS and FedEx and get notificatons of everything coming. USPS takes pictures of everything the later arrives.
Dunno. Issue a return online and often they say just keep the incorrect item and they ship the correct one. Sometimes extra items show up.
They are losing money this way but Amazon is a huge operation.
“If the post office is delivering it then Amazon considers the packages delivered once it is in the hands of the post office. It might not get delivered until 2 days later.”
I live out in the sticks and my (somewhat many) Amazon packages are delivered by USPS. They do not show delivered until they are at my house. The USPS delivery person has a device with which they scan the item and it shows delivered on the Amazon website within a few minutes. It never shows delivered until it gets to me. I also get my items within 3 days of order.
You should not write that, even in jest or ridicule.
Some old FReeper might take that as good advice.
That’s a good point. Thanks.
I ordered a battery powered off road scooter and Amazon cancelled it without any explanation as to why.
“Sometimes it’s even a blast email going to many.”
Yes, you could count tens of millions of recipients as “many.” These scammers use botnets, thousands of widely distributed computers networked together to form a supercomputer spamming machine.
Ignore and delete after checking your bank account.
They are scamming.
I get the same type emails from other places saying my account was charged $649.00 for some gadget and if this is incorrect please click the link. uh no
They look real, but they are not.
We live in the sticks, too, and often a delivery on a Saturday shows as delivered but the package might not show until Monday. Amazon claims a USPS delivered package might show delivered earlier than it appears. Happens often.
I ordered water filters from Amazon too. A four pack. Great minds think alike.
I self identify as the amazing man that my text messages say is right for all the lonely Ukrainian women eager to meet me.
They damaged each others packages big time
not sure if this is the same thing:

These are likely spam and phishing emails. You should ignore them. They are definitely not related to your actual orders.
