Trusting President Trump is not a cult of personality. He has earned that trust and while we may not always understand or agree with what he says and does, we do not jump ship over those times we don’t see the big picture.
Allowing some illegals a chance to get legal status is not the same as blanket amnesty. I trust President Trump and his state department will vet individuals and make a determination as to whether or not they should be granted a work visa or whatever he is planning.
Conservatives have long supported a way for people to come here and work seasonally or temporarily. The idea is that it is done legally with vetting of those seeking to come here. That’s not the same as thousands flooding in and then saying, “Well, since you’re here, you might as well be given all the rights of citizens.”
Yes, he’s concentrating now on the worst of the worst that the previous illegitimate administration allowed to pour in without any idea of who they are or where they are or what danger they may pose to American citizens. Let’s get that done then worry about the rest.

Your claim was he advocated “blanket amnesty” not as I said a case by case basis to determine if these workers are eligible for possible legal status. Moving the goalposts is a leftist play.
President Trump never takes anything off the table because he is able to grasp nuance in negotiation and policy. I trust the president to consider all options and While I may not agree with every decision he makes, I know he is sincere in his desire to do what is best for America.
America First is not the heavy handed top down authoritarian control of the leftist/communists. It is the belief that our government is to benefit the American citizen first and foremost in policy and practice.
The ramifications of the sudden mass deportation of farm workers is unclear. President Trump has to weigh the effect of letting them stay versus any harm that may cause to the American citizen. This is the crux of the legal/illegal immigration debate, is it beneficial or detrimental to America?
I believe that illegal immigration is a net detriment causing enormous costs to the tax payer, but I can accept that some illegals may have some benefit to the country and should be given a chance to make a case to be allowed to stay.
My concern is that if these workers are granted legal status, it will lead other industries to make similar claims that the disruption deportations will cause is more harmful than the costs of welfare and other benefits that may come with allowing them to stay.
My word wasn’t “blanket” amnesty. But letting illegals magically be deemed legal instead of facing the deportation they have earned is amnesty. Trump talked about it first for hospitality and ag workers, and has also hinted toward letting illegals go home and then be converted and return as legals.
It is amnesty. YOu can be for it, I’m against it. But gushing about Trump’s insight and nuance or whatever you want doesn’t change it. McCain and Bush and all the RINOs tried to force it on us 20 years ago. And now there’s something like 3x the illegals here.
It’s amnesty—and yes, Trump loses my support over it.
I mentioned that the Autopen Administration came in to power via a rigged election... millions of Americans recognized that!
Now we are learning that the Chinese played a major role in rigging that election, smuggling in truckloads of counterfeit documents. Does that mean the Dems are communists? Maybe.
The Dems have used Islam and the Palestinians to foster unrest and civil disobedience in our colleges and in our streets. Does that mean the Dems are Muslims? Maybe.
I suspect that the simple answer is that the Dems will use anything to gain power over the Constitution! They are possibly too shallow to figure how to control those groups IF they do gain power. We know that they approach solutions to problems with force and violence - just as they did in 1861 - the way they did during the Autopen Administration.
