I started drinking a 30% solution of DMSO prophylactically, but couldn’t tolerate the taste. However, I occasionally have muscle aches in the middle of the night from over-exertion or overuse during the day, and a swab of 70% DMSO when the ache starts completely clears up the pain and allows me to sleep through the rest of the night.
