I really beg the question "Why was a 15 year old on the bus with a 7 year old?"
when I was in school we were never on the bus with Grade school kids.
Buses between schools and for country kids always had all ages.
As far as I know, all city buses would have all ages, too.
My guess is that the autistic kid was years behind—and so with younger children. No excuse, of course.
And the bus driver ????????
Where was the bus driver? Wasn’t the driver aware?
Circa 1966, South Louisiana Lockport. This was common back then. People were descent back then and we never had trouble on my school bus. If something would have happened, us older kids would have taken care of it. Today even descent kids are afraid to intervene. You could get stabbed or shot.
Probably budgetary reasons.
At least where I lived, everybody rode the bus to school. High schoolers in the back and grade schoolers upfront.
This happened in the county next to me. Jennings County is not the best place to live. They are right up there when it comes to meth labs and inbreds. Jennings County also has a place named Country Squire Lakes. It’s a large community, bigger than most small towns. It’s full of lowlifes, drug dealers and criminals. North Vernon is not a place you want to visit.
His thingy definitely needs to be tried as an adult, that’s fo sho.
Mainstreaming has advantages for everyone !
I can only think it may be more of a rural route. Otherwise no good reason.
Aren’t homos usually a bit older before they start going after young boys?
My earliest school was three schoolrooms, grades 1-3, 4-6, 7-8. So yeah, quite rural and all ages rode the bus. One kid was well into his teens because he kept failing grades.
everyone being tried should be tried as an adult ... everyone ...
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
wonder what the 15 year old has been through himself to even think of doing that?
abused himself? or just a messed up brain due to videos/internet/drugs/etc?
whatever the case, I am glad he was moved up to adult court.
prayers for the 7 year old.
I also think any of the witness kids on the bus, the multiple times the 7 year old was raped, should all also be charged as accomplice or some thing. No excuse for all those other kid to not say some thing to a teacher or parent when witnessing that once, let alone multiple times.
Heck I was bullied but being tripped or some thing like that is not criminal. Kids today have no respect/regard for what is a criminal act? Don’t they teach kids/teens to help others anymore? or report a crime?
Do you have a link to the video handy?
Death penalty
Rural school bus had kids of all ages......
From a linked article. Monitor was probably on his/her phone.
The accused is charged as an adult so his disability is not severe enough to preclude criminal responsibility. "I'm basically screwed," he is quoted in the other article.
does that mean his disability was a behavior problem and putting him with smaller children should have been an obvious No?
