The Most Important Decision of Trump’s Presidency
American Thinker ^

Isolationists seek to discredit warnings about the great dangers of a nuclear-armed Iran as “warmongers” or “neocons.” Yet history proves the opposite: Isolationism allowed Nazi Germany to arm and vastly expand its war machine, in violation of the Treaty of Versailles.

In reality, isolationists are the most dangerous war-mongers. Their intent to keep the U.S. out of military conflict (short of a direct attack on the U.S. homeland), virtually ensures a catastrophic war.

Read Homer's Odyssey. The final solution is religious. Or Genesis, where Cain is protected from revenge and the cycle of blood. In short, we don't know the future. You could obliterate your enemy with a "Out out damned spot" wish and find yourself lost in the end. Fate, they used to call it.

Theodicy isn't for the proud.

Giving the people weapons is giving them a choice to exercise their intents. It is NOT taking overt action.

So you’d be OK with the Chinese government illegally shipping firearms across our southern border?

There was widespread consensus at the time that the WMD existed …

No, there wasn’t. There was widespread propaganda that had been spread by people in government who knew it was 100% bullsh!t.

1.What the author calls “isolationism”was really disgust. WWI never ended. The US was the only nation calling for unconditional surrender. General Pershing rightly predicted a new war within 25 years. 2. The author skips over the reality that the US carried the world in WWII: we fought a two front war while we rearmed England and Russia. The EU could screw up a two car funeral. Aside from Israel - the only other nation with a spine - the rest of the world needs to handle their own problems.

**Obama afterwards. The beginning of his anointed reign, the Iranian Street full of youngsters who wanted freedom from elder suppression, were avidly demonstrating and protesting - HOPING that Obama would join them on the world stage of discontent. President (Ayatollah) Obama completely ignored them.**

Let’s hope they can do it again. No telling when.

False analogy.

The Chinese government's intent is not for the people to take back their government.

I have news for you. When the U.S. launches stupid military campaigns and topples governments all over the world, it has nothing to do with having the people "take back their government."

The CIA-UK overthrow of the elected Mossadegh government in Iran is 1953 is a perfect example of this.

When you live under a metaphorical rock, you can’t see there is a world beyond the perimeter. The neo Isolationists have such a narrow and limited view they can’t comprehend the real world beyond their limited vision

The problems they can deal with are restricted to those apparent under their rock
