WASHINGTON, D.C. – The One, Big, Beautiful Bill fulfills President Trump’s promise to seniors and provides welcome tax relief after four years of inflation robbed their retirement under President Biden. Yes, Biden cut the heck out of Medicare Advantage last year.

It's for a COUPLE, and includes extending the old tax cuts and purchasing a new car and deducting the interest. They don't show the math.

No flames here, just a correction. Progs put us where we are today, and later progs added to it. SS, Mcare/caid, great society with it’s welfare were brought to us by progs. Progs (and their useful idiots RINOs) voted in the huge plandemic funding that doubled up the current deficit/debt. Bottom line is progs did this and trying to blame a certain age group is flat out wrong. This country is where it is now because of Marxist thought and execution.

Why would they muddy up the discussion by including a new car purchase and loan for SENIORS??!! Yes, that was a rhetorical question.

Actually it was mostly the Greatest Generation who became socialists and grew govt by leaps and bounds, but your point is well taken.

Of course not, why would anyone want details.

Isn't the car loan deduction available to everyone? So why include it when you ae promoting benefits targeted at and for seniors. I'd prefer adding my property taxes as an income deduction.

One more time. This is the only way to address the ss tax with 50 votes. There is talk that after midterms if they have the votes No Tax on SS will be revisited.

There are many seniors that don’t file at all now. Me included in that.

So a credit that must be part of a return will be lost on them all.

“Yep, they promised us steak and threw us a can of Spam again. Do the math. I’ll take no tax on Social Security over this any day!”

Geez! Do we really have to go over again what a reconciliation bill is and why is a reconciliation bill?

My understanding, the $4000 credit has income limits… from memory, only if you make less than $60 grand.

Threads like this show why this country is on a collision course with financial collapse. Gimme. Gimme. Gimme. I’m not really talking about the SS tax aspects, but the screaming over cuts to the Medicare Advantage boondoggle.

It’s clear this country is never going to pull in this spending. I predict a total collapse around 2036.

“Where are they getting a tax cut of twice that?”

Put on your glasses! It says “couple” would receive.
