Seems Trump is crawfishing on immigration as he said maybe we need to allow them to stay and overlook their legal status...
In case you haven't noticed, Trump is trying to get ICE to do 3K deportations a day. That's 1 million a year and up to to 4 million in four years.
~15 or 20 million illegals minus the 4 million that we deport means that we will have many millions who will "stay".
That's not "crawfishing", that's reality.
And hopefully JD Vance will keep all of the platform initiatives moving forward for 8 years from the White House!
Vance will do fine. President Trump won’t run again so we can joke that he can’t win again.

Just because someone isn't deported by ICE agents, doesn't mean that they will not go home. The incentives are already being put in place.... we pay for a nice flight, rather than having yourself and your kids being held in detention centers for an unknown length of time... plenty of illegals will be self-deporting as we keep this going. Surviving this latest "summer of love" filled with deadly riots will likely be the last huge test for the deportation programs. Any illegal who sees our resolve still being firm, even among the political class, after this summer, will be far more likely to be making plans to get what they can, and arrange what they can for their trip back home.

Trump was never going to deport farmworkers. I seriously doubt you’ll see him deport construction workers and other laborers providing economic benefit and efficiencies.

We have something like 400 guest worker programs in the US. I’m guessing Trump is referring to that.
First off lets remember that 70% of agricultural workers are US citizens so any migrants that are need can come and work the season and then go home.
Our great Farmers and people in the Hotel and Leisure business have been stating that our very aggressive policy on immigration is taking very good, long time workers away from them, with those jobs being almost impossible to replace. In many cases the Criminals allowed into our Country by the VERY Stupid Biden Open Borders Policy are applying for those jobs. This is not good. We must protect our Farmers, but get the CRIMINALS OUT OF THE USA. Changes are coming!
This could be the start of a Comprehensive Immigration Reform effort. In his first term, Trump tried to reform immigration in a piecemeal manner, which for the most part failed due to political opposition. If the Main Street/Chamber of Commerce Republicans can keep their cheap labor, they will jump onboard.

As a closed border Libertarian, this is easy....
IF they have someone (or some company) to sponsor them and ensure their needs will be taken care of....
AND IF they don’t use the public largesse to support themselves...
AND IF they don’t have anchor babies (or we eliminate the policy of anchor babies)...
AND IF they have no expectation of staying any longer than their sponsorship lasts...
AND IF they commit no crimes while here...
I don’t have a problem with them filling a commercial need.
Yes, ICE is arresting and deporting these people. They are raiding businesses they have received tips on that are employing illegals. And yes, this should be a priority. The business owners should face severe penalties for employing illegals. Turn off the magnet of illegal employment and government money, and people will stop coming. No free healthcare, no food stamps, no subsidized housing, no free phones and no employment unless you are legal. All of this has to be part of immigration reform.

The apparent glory of the modern urban buildings in China can only exist because the urban population feeds upon the rural population through the functions of the government.
Overall the functionaries in our government are no better than the Chinese at central planning. The Most Naive generation should have turned on FDR when he started attempting to implement central control over agriculture for the banks but that generation was too tired of fighting the wars the banks had made for them. Being the banks useful idiots just to show how pro-business we are is committing seppuku to show our loyalty.
We dont have to participate in every false flag that someone comes up with just to show that we arent those other people.
was 5-6 my brother and I were trying to catch crawdads with bacon and string. He went to school the next week, I went back to fishing by myself, we had a creek just behind the house, caught a 4 inch crawdad, pulled that string up and thought, well, what do I do now. Tossed him back in.
