As a closed border Libertarian, this is easy....
IF they have someone (or some company) to sponsor them and ensure their needs will be taken care of....
AND IF they don’t use the public largesse to support themselves...
AND IF they don’t have anchor babies (or we eliminate the policy of anchor babies)...
AND IF they have no expectation of staying any longer than their sponsorship lasts...
AND IF they commit no crimes while here...
I don’t have a problem with them filling a commercial need.
Same here. That’s like the Gastarbeiter (guest worker) system they had in Switzerland when I lived there for a few years as a young girl. They were mostly Italians and mainly did construction work, railway maintenance, etc. Almost all did seasonal work and then went back to Italy. It worked very well. Unemployment in Switzerland at the time was close to zero, so they weren’t taking jobs away from Swiss citizens, either.
