Meghan Markle's heartfelt celebration of her daughter Lilibet's fourth birthday has taken an unexpected turn, with critics on social media using it to fuel a wave of conspiracy theories.
The Duchess of Sussex posted a throwback video of herself dancing-at nine months pregnant-in a hospital room, recalling the moments before her daughter was born. But what was meant as a playful tribute has been twisted by online skeptics into a platform for baseless claims.
In the clip, Meghan, wearing casual clothes and visibly pregnant, dances enthusiastically to Starrkeisha's "Baby Mama" song. Prince Harry briefly appears before Meghan begins twerking and moving playfully around the hospital room.
…
But the lighthearted post quickly drew scrutiny. A vocal group of critics on X (formerly Twitter) began dissecting the footage and offering outlandish theories-ranging from claims that Meghan was never pregnant to accusations that the hospital setting was staged or digitally fabricated.
According to some online users, Meghan's pregnancy "bump" appeared too high, too firm, or moved "unnaturally," prompting accusations she wore a prosthetic belly or "moonbump."
A few even claimed the video was filmed on a set or generated using AI. Others pointed to details like Meghan wearing jewelry or lacking an IV drip, saying it was inconsistent with what they would expect in a labor ward.
One user claiming to be a nurse insisted she should have had a cannula in her hand, while another commented that her dancing ability at nine months was "superhuman." No medical experts have supported these assertions, and the Sussexes have not commented publicly on the speculation.
Critics also revisited long-standing surrogate rumors, basing them on equipment in the video and Meghan's clothing. Childish annotations were added to screenshots of the video by conspiracy-minded users attempting to highlight so-called "inconsistencies."

She is truly something else
Re: moonbump
I had no idea that such a thing existed.
Okay ladies who have been pregnant - if you are in the hospital about to give birth - at the most advanced stage of pregnancy - can you move around like that, including (not shown in those pictures) bending at the knees, legs open, swiveling around like that? https://youtu.be/_gigKUVpQWc?si=64W9pFcjjXS2Q1Xn&t=636
That raises more questions for me than the shape of the bump. I previously dismissed these theories as the kids do exist, but after seeing that - I now am not convinced surrogacy was not used.
That looks fake.
It does indeed. But I an not a Doctor.
That baby isn’t breech, it’s sideways. Breech is feet first. If that’s a real baby, its head is sideways to the birth canal.
Calling this a fake.
Kids exist as they were taken to see the Queen some years ago. However...surrogacy has been a theory (or even adoption and “borrowed” kids used for photo ops) posed for some time now because of the bump and her what was claimed as her sudden full recoveries after the pregnancies.
However, her ability to dance around effortlessly, including bending down to the ground and back up, while just about ready to give birth is the biggest red flag I have seen: https://youtu.be/_gigKUVpQWc?si=64W9pFcjjXS2Q1Xn&t=636
LOL!
I don’t hate her, but I don’t like her.
Poor Harry. Thought with his little head. Not a good choice.
No, the daughter exists. Lots of coy photos thereof. But her family had reported that she had retrieved her frozen eggs 9 months before her first reported birth.

What’s “controversial” about this video? I thought Prince Harry renounced his claim to the throne. That means they’re no lomger part of the royal family, right? And no longer relevant, either.
By the rules of the British monarchy, this legally takes the kids out of the line of succession, from having royal titles, etc.
….buuuuuuuut you posted on this thread 😁
The HOT SHEETS.
As it says in the headline and body of the article, her movements and the shape of her bump are fanning the flames of conspiracy she was never pregnant. Not sure as to the shape, though it does look odd - but the ability to move like that including down to the floor and back up sure seems suspect for someone on the verge of giving birth.
I thought Prince Harry renounced his claim to the throne. That means they’re no longer part of the royal family, right?
That is not correct, no. Meghan continues to use the title "HRH The Duchess of Sussex" as her name on products and promotions, etc. There is serious discussion going on to remove these titles from her formally - William is apparently ready to do so on day one he becomes King if his father will not.
Here’s why this is Sort of important.
There is a massive campaign to promote Meghan in the US. She gets great press in Glamour and other outlets. This article - https://www.glamour.com/story/watch-meghan-markle-get-low-while-nine-months-pregnant-adorable-home-video -is profoundly tone-deaf.
Yet, she’s got a Netflix deal, products, podcast, etc. And SOMEONE is buying her awful jams and flowers.
There is a “Sussex Squad” that promotes and cheers like a trained seal ANYTHING these grifters do.
So what?, you may say. Based on polling at https://ygo-assets-websites-editorial-emea.yougov.net/documents/Internal_RoyalFavourability_250507.pdf, these losers are most popular with young people/under 25. There is a massive campaign to lift up these losers.
But it seems like they don’t have the funds to pay for these influencers. ThenHarris presidency had equally high dislikability, but they had $1 billion.
Thus, this is a great example of marketing, propaganda, and how to build an army of workers to target the under 25 crowd, who are willing to do dirty work for their classless overlords, without getting paid.
I believe the Queen only met one kid.
Yes. I think the Disney video following this one signifies her ability to play public attention like a fiddle LoL.
I will say I wasn’t moving around like that! I had been uncomfortable for weeks and when I got to the hospital I was writhing in agony for my first and scared for my second.
IMO no way would Harry give up any claim to royalty//the throne. They seem to really want to appear “Royal”
