Around 15 years ago I was substitute teaching and had one on one time with a young lady who grew up in USA. I don’t know but her parents may have been from Mexico. She told me about Atzlan and the idea that this part of Texas up through the panhandle belonged to Mexico and that it should be reunited. In light of illegal immigration and these riots I was reminded of her comments. She wasn’t the best student and I was surprised that she was aware of such a political position. She still lives here and has a restaurant. I wonder if she still adheres to the ideology. Now we see that they are after more than West Texas. This article explains the concept.

We made a great decision in sending the National Guard to deal with the violent, instigated riots in California. If we had not done so, Los Angeles would have been completely obliterated.
