I do not know. I have not been in a movie theater since 1970 - Patton. I simply wait until the movies are shown on cable TV. Will I miss the movies which come to TV after I am dead? Yes, of course. However, I will not care, will I? ;-)
I saw it this week.
I hadn’t followed the previous movies so it took a minute to remember the players. The story did not make a ton of sense. The stunts and cinematography were 10/10. Tom cruise is my age, and he is in great shape. But…he is my age.
It was almost three hours long.
I went on Senior Discount night, so it wasn’t THAT expensive.
It was about a 7/10. If you are a fan of the others in the series it was a nice bit of closure.
In real life Maverick would have been court martialed many times. If you are a pilot you will love the movie. Oddly the most poignant scene was when Maverick went to the Admiral (Ice Man) for advice about his dead copilot’s (Goose) son who was now a Naval aviator.
Great movie, totally unrealistic but you will like it.
I have heard that it is fairly patriotic like the second Top Gun.
We just rewatched “A Few Good Men” the other night. That movie has aged well for a 33 year old movie. Jack Nicholson is perfect in it, and Toms’ cockiness actually adds to it.
No, nothing’s ‘worth’ seeing anymore. Sorry.
Yes, I saw it last weekend.
However, you should watch the previous MI movie on Amazon Prime prior to this one.
It starts where the previous movie left off.
Yes, there are some DEI parts that are kind of annoying.
Just like there are some parts that are totally unbelievable, but you just have to go with it.
If you can see it in Imax it is even better.
The last big stunt scene really is spectacular.
FYI, the last movie I saw in a theater was Maverick.
So, IMHO go have fun and make sure you go to the bathroom first.
It is three hours long.
It was well worth it. Pure action and escapism. I’m glad I saw it. Don’t know how old Tom Cruise does it. The bi-plane scene was great and very nerve racking.
This guy was excited to go see the movie...

In My Opinion: I watched a couple of Mission Impossible movies and they were so divergent from actual reality that they weren’t worth watching. Too much action, too many camera angles, and outlandish storylines that are so unbelievable that there was no credulity. It’s nice that they have pro America messaging but I would not watch a single one of them a second time and I would not see one that I haven’t seen before on TV.
The Mission Impossible movies have all been good. Great franchise. So I don’t have any reason to believe the new one will be any different. There are plenty of MI movies on Amazon Prime Video to watch and check out.
The critic consensus is "it's just okay". The biggest complaint is, just as the movie is getting interesting it comes to a dead stop so the characters can explain the convoluted plot to the audience.
I went to see it, never having seen the others in the series. I wanted diversion and to be occasionally overwhelmed. I was bored. I only stayed for the first hour.
There was a whole lot of dialogue being pushed out.
I remember thinking: “Don’t tell me, show me! I also thought this story would have made good radio
A great deal of the scenes we’re shot in the same setting:a darkened, cavernous room. There were some good fighting scenes here and there. It seemed rather disjointed and contrived, mainly for purposes of making Tom Cruise character look good. Some scenes had far too many characters who were not allowed to grow or showcase their abilities. To each his own entertainment.
I don’t watch anything that has that smarmy diminutive Scientologist whack job in it.
Greatly surpasses the boundaries of reality, but keeps you on the edge of your seat anyway.
Typical MI... but worth seeing. Being the sequel and part 2 of the last one, it does a pretty good job of wrapping things up.
Far better than some of the other crap they are trying to pass off as movies these days.
I’ve seen the latest MI in IMAX. Fell asleep 5 minutes in. Absolutely unrealistic. It was in my opinion an ego movie for Cruise to prove he is still relevant by doing his own stunts.
I liked the movie.
I saw it last weekend and I did love it. It’s run time is about 2 hours, 49 minutes, but out did not seem like it. Cruise did and amazing number of stunts.
I was entertained and it was pure escapism.
Cruise throws everything into doing a film and for 63 he looks 40.
Good adventure and action movie.
He has inspired me to get into even better shape, I will be 70 on Tuesday and now I am walking about 4 to 6 miles a day.
I haven't been to a theater in decades, but you've gotta love the title along with the timing:
משימה בלתי אפשרית: חשבון סופי
Mission "Impossible": Final arithmetic, and some gal named Wisdom (Sophie)
סופי ---> יוסף
Genesis 30:24 And she called his name Joseph; and said, The LORD shall add to me another son.

541 = "הוא היתה אם כל-חי" (Gen 3:20)
משימה -- it's amazing what leaps out from a single "mission"; e.g.
the heavens
Moses who?
Hashem who?
And that's not even counting the "מה" standing in the place of the chet. 🤔
Hod that is in Yesod. It's like Bethlehem in Judea:
י*הוד*ה
It goes on, obviously, because of
"an individual (or a couple) that will master mind and master heart this giant planetary-scale project of coordinating all of humanity into a single, smoothly operating organism, that will run as efficiently as a person’s body. According to Kabbala, all of humanity, actually all of creation, is really a single partzuf, a single Adam. In fact, one main feature of messianic consciousness is a greater awareness of our oneness in this regard.

On a highly related note, I figure that I'll soon have the opportunity to explain a little about a personal collection of mine from the Soviet era.
Worth seeing only if T. Cruise is not in it.
