President Trump in a new post on Truth Social on Sunday night accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of having gone “absolutely” crazy and said if he did not stop what he was doing, it would lead to the downfall of his country.
The social media comments came after Trump had issued some of his toughest comments about Putin earlier in remarks to reporters in New Jersey.
“I’ve always had a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin of Russia, but something has happened to him. He has gone absolutely CRAZY!,” Trump wrote.
“He is needlessly killing a lot of people, and I’m not just talking about soldiers. Missiles and drones are being shot into Cities in Ukraine, for no reason whatsoever,” Trump said.
“I’ve always said that he wants ALL of Ukraine, not just a piece of it, and maybe that’s proving to be right, but if he does, it will lead to the downfall of Russia!”
Trump then turned toward Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, who he has repeatedly criticized. Zelensky on Sunday had faulted the silence of the U.S. and other countries in the wake of the latest missile and drone barrage from Russia against his country, an assault that killed a dozen people.
“Likewise, President Zelenskyy is doing his Country no favors by talking the way he does,” Trump said.

BS. Point out the law in which Zelensky "outlawed all things Russian".
The article in DW lists a temporary ban by the Kyiv city council on "performing or showcasing Russian-language art and culture — in public" imposed now, BECAUSE of Putins invasion.
There is no ban on "speaking" russian on the street or carrying a russian book. Ridiculous
Who’s this we you talk of? You’re a Canadian. Stay in your own lane. When Canada pays its fair share for it’s own defense, then you can have a say in such matters.

Everything liberals do, they claim to be temporary. However, they never are. You should know better than to believe liberal gaslighting, to get their foot in the door.
Does Ukraine have the right to be free and independent as recognized by numerous treaties signed by Russia and even Putin?
Putin in 2003 signed a treaty with Ukraine called the “Treaty Between the Russian Federation and Ukraine on the Russian–Ukrainian State Border”.
It recognized Ukraine’s borders as they were in 1991 & was lodged with the UN.
I am not a supporter of my country. my country can go to hell.
I was born here, but I do not share its values.
Too bad your Constitution says otherwise.
I am not a Putin apologist but it seems he has no command and control of these incursions. All these Experts need to dig deeper to find the truth. Something’s rotten in Moscow.
No. Not by Russia’s insistence and our agreement for the sake of peace. Ukraine had to remain militarily neutral. Independent nations don’t have to do that.
It was the one thing that Russia wanted and we couldn’t keep our end of the bargain, setting everything in motion.
LOL, german article by some no name which claims "The Russian language, culture and history may well be banned"
Seriously, that's you're proof of russian genocide in Ukraine, an article which states russian "may well be banned". Okay
German article, not written by a conservative. Conservatism does not exist in Europe. Socialism won thoroughly there and everyone is a socialist in Europe.
It’s cultural genocide. Let’s not call it anything else.
Right, so it IS about russian imperialism, in which Putin believes Ukraine cannot be free and independent from Russia.
Russia was willing to let Ukraine be. Does that sound imperialistic to you?
If you want to see imperialism, that comes from the West. We couldn’t let it be, so we made moves to expand towards Russia. We are the imperialists.
But we’re the good guys right? We can do whatever we want and we are the good guys, no matter what we do. Nobody is allowed to respond to us, because they become the bad guy.
While we can’t say it’s not possible a lot of said this was the probable outcome a long time ago.
When? In 2014 Ukraine was moving to join the EU, Putin seized Crimea.
Then Putin started and backed a separatist war in Ukraine.
Then in 2022 Putin invaded all of Ukraine.
Yes, that sounds imperialistic to me.
Yes, in 2014. When Russia was wanting to talk, it wasn’t taking over the Ukraine. We told Russia to go pound sand, so Russia was on its own in regards to its concerns.
According to you, no matter what we do, Russia is the bad guy. Good guys piling up weapons that could be used in a blitzkrieg. Nothing to see, but don’t do anything or you’ll be the bad guy.
Putin did it in response to us. We piled weapons and Russia reacted to our ambitions.
We are the imperialists.
I believe most of the Putin fans on FR are simply Russian propagandists and fake conservatives.
It’s a shame that your two idols, Trump and Putin, are quarrelling.
Yeah, they’re attacking civilians.
NO, russia is an imperialistic nation for invading an independent country and seizing its territory.
Sure, voluntary defensive pacts against an imperialistic Russia that invades its neighbors(Ukraine and Georgia), makes us the "imperialists". Okay
Trump’s not an apologist for the Killer of Moscow.
Yes, we are the imperialists. We could have shown Russia that we weren’t harmful by not piling up our weapons along its border. But chose not to, because we wanted this war.
We could have talked to Russia and made it clear not respecting the Ukraine border would result in war, but we chose to pile up our weapons instead.
We are the imperialists.
