President Trump in a new post on Truth Social on Sunday night accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of having gone “absolutely” crazy and said if he did not stop what he was doing, it would lead to the downfall of his country.
The social media comments came after Trump had issued some of his toughest comments about Putin earlier in remarks to reporters in New Jersey.
“I’ve always had a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin of Russia, but something has happened to him. He has gone absolutely CRAZY!,” Trump wrote.
“He is needlessly killing a lot of people, and I’m not just talking about soldiers. Missiles and drones are being shot into Cities in Ukraine, for no reason whatsoever,” Trump said.
“I’ve always said that he wants ALL of Ukraine, not just a piece of it, and maybe that’s proving to be right, but if he does, it will lead to the downfall of Russia!”
Trump then turned toward Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, who he has repeatedly criticized. Zelensky on Sunday had faulted the silence of the U.S. and other countries in the wake of the latest missile and drone barrage from Russia against his country, an assault that killed a dozen people.
“Likewise, President Zelenskyy is doing his Country no favors by talking the way he does,” Trump said.

Putin’s attacks these last few days were retaliatory. Trump should know that. You ALL should know that. Russia isn’t going to stand by and get bitch-slapped by the West over and over and not do anything about it.
How can you defend Putin given your tagline? Trump has made Putin a very favorable peace offer that includes keeping much of the land captured during the war and rehabilitation back into the human race. Putin should have jumped at that deal, but he didn’t. He is nothing but a two bit warmonger.
Making excuses for Putin? "Aww, but he used to be such a pussycat when he was just ordering columns of heavy armor to march on Kyiv! And launching hypersonic missiles against civilian centers was so-oo cute! That rascal!" Seriously?!
Putin has never been anything else but an evil-hearted threat to freedom.

I hope Putin’s cancer kills him soon. This is the best solution for Ukraine and everybody.
Your first impulse is to always attack members of the Trump Administration - you wouldn't dream of considering that maybe Putin could possibly be the "bad guy" in this scenario!
How about this for a possible explanation: Putin is a power-mad dictator bent on rebuilding the old Soviet Union, and President Trump is gradually abandoning his previous approach of treating him with restraint.
Makes far more sense to me!

Missiles ain't free, so I seriously doubt they would be used on anything other than strategic targets. If the goal is to harm civilians the best targets would still be infrastructure such as electrical power distribution.

Yeah, the mere fact that he has ignited the greatest conflict in Europe since the end of WWII... That he has invited nuclear NORTH KOREA to join in on the invasion... That he has been rocket-bombing civilian centers in Ukraine... That he has annexed vast swathes of territory...

Too many Zelensky bots are “America Last”. They yearn to see US citizens bankrupted and penniless for Ukraine. They yearn to see US troops fighting and dying in Ukraine. It’s sick and treasonous.

A successful attempt might brighten the chances for a quick end to the Russian invasion.
