Same here. We were regular Target shoppers until they decided to let "men" into the girls' restrooms. Never went back. Switched to Walmart.

My local mall will be demolished at the end of May. JC Penney and all the local small businesses will go away. The replacement will be an outdoor mall with a Target. The nearest Target right now is in Idaho Falls. It's a 54 mile drive one way. I go to IF about once a week, but never have a reason to go to Target. The Walmart and Fred Meyer stores have covered my needs for 25 years. We also have a Costco and Winco, so Target is going to have to compete hard for local business. Sportsmanswarehouse and Dick's have the recreation market covered.

I was in a Target two years ago (wife wanted something she said only they had), and upon entering the store, a woman clerk left her register to complain that my mobility scooter headlamp (which often gets accidentally switched on taking it in and out of the trunk) was too bright and was going to give her a seizure. I told her I wasn’t even aware it was on and switched it off right away, and she huffed and went back to her station. I wrote to management promising never to return (I haven’t), and have no sympathy for entitled Karen employees like that.

I quit going to Target when the last time I found a DVD set of old Randolph Scott 1950s westerns. They refused to sell them to me till I proved I was over 18 years of age as they were considered “UNRATED” the same as porn today. I was 68 years old.
