Pitbull attacks a Bison.. Whoops

He won't do THAT again!....

I read about a bull fight between an American bison and a Mexican fighting bull. After a charge, the bull wanted no parts of the bison, which simply stood its ground and lowered its head like it did with this dog.

Here is how I saw it:

Pit Bull runs full speed at massive, peacefully grazing Bison.

Massive Bison looks up, sees the dog just feet away.

Huge shaggy head of bison with gigantic, sharp horns is lowered casually at the last second.

As Pit Bull arrives, Bison delivers a deliberate, aimed blow.

Dog runs off at best possible limping speed.

Massive Bison turns its back on retreating Pit Bull and returns unconcernedly to peaceful grazing.

Nature at work.

They probably let the dog out of the vehicle to do its business and it took out for the bison...............

They should be fined big time, if not jailed, and banned from the park for life for letting a dog run loose to threaten any animal, even though it came out on the losing end this time.

Pit “Bull” and “Bull” dogs were used in “Bull” baiting. They would attack and take down Bulls for sport and hunting. They would use a pack of dogs. They were favored for their strength, tenaciousness and ferocity. A very different time. Interesting experiment, I do not approve either. Much of the aggressiveness was being bred out, until it wasn’t.

You missed where the bison took a step or two toward the dog, in fighting stance, until it confirmed the dog was retreating.

LOL, it was so subtle, but...yes.

The equivalent of someone who, at a later date, simply leans in at someone who they beat the tar out of, and the person flinches while the one doing the subtle jerk communicates the unspoken “Yeah. That’s right.”

Good guess. In Yellowstone with all the wild animals about, letting a dog out off-leash was really really stupid. Why, the dog could do something dumb like chase a bison in a flash.
